YA book about a library book that becomes what a reader needs

My mom heard about this book from a public radio station but can't remember the name of the author or the title of the book. The plot of the book is there is a special book in a library that becomes the book the reader needs at the moment the person reads it. A kid or kids find the book and it is filled with magic spells.

My mom thinks they said the author was female, but can't be 100% sure. She doesn't know if it was part of a series, if it is then it was the first book in the series. The book is less than five years old.

Sounds similar to “The Edge of Everywhen” by A.S. Mackey. There is no magic spells in the book, but 2 kids find it in the library and it has a different story for every person that reads it.
