I read this book around 2008. The story centered around three characters: a closeted gay boy, his male best friend, and his younger sister. The two boys liked each other and may have been dating in secret. The best friend/crush felt stifled by this and a rift formed between the two of them. The younger sister started spending more time with her brother's crush/friend and they end up dating. The two of them spend time sitting in places like libraries and hospital waiting areas, drawing people. One of the boy's names started with an L, something like Lincoln or Landon. I think it was the crush/friend, not the brother.
