Favourite time to read: Is there ever a time not to read?

Favourite Food: Ice Cream (Yeah, I know, it's not healthy, so what's your point?)

Favourite Drink: Pepsi

message 70: by Paullett (new)

Paullett Golden (paullettgolden) | 43 comments Name: Paullett Golden

Author/ Reader: Both! My debt novel launched Nov. 1, so I'm very new at the author part, but I've been a lifetime reader. It's been interesting, lately, to split time between writing and reading.

Favourite Book: Way too many too name, especially given there will be top favs in different genres. How would someone even think of comparing Atwood to Nietzsche or Balogh to Tolkien! Can't be done. I have top favs in every genre, but what I'm in the mood to re-read depends on what's happening in life. Sometimes a book will change my life one year but then fall flat another year. Everything depends on timing.

Favourite time to read: In the morning before I start my day and in the evening when I'm winding down.

Favourite Food: Depends on mood. Top favs include sushi, pasta, Tex-mex, traditional Brit, and anything chocolate.

Favourite Drink: macchiato or a cuppa of Earl G.

Welcome Paullett. Yes it is very difficult indeed to slot just one book as a favourite. Multiple books in every genre are worthy of one's attention. Having said that, those are great writers that you have mentioned.

message 74: by Frank (new)

Frank Prem (frankprem) | 131 comments Name: Frank Prem

Author/ Reader: Both, but I'm here as a new Author of a memoir written in free verse poetry - Small Town Kid.

Small Town Kid by Frank Prem

The memoir is about growing up in a small town in North East Victoria during the 1960s and 70s. A time and a childhood that seemed to disappear in the space of a heartbeat, and was completely gone by the time my own kids were listening to me telling tall stories and myths (or fibs) about the way of life I'd known.

Favourite Book: There's a range, but some Author's I have a lot of on my shelf include: Ursula Le Guin; Robin Hobbs; Tolkien (of course); Translations of Gaston Bachelard from the French; Terry Pratchett.

Favourite time to read: Evening, in bed before sleep.

Favourite Food: Steak and chips are favorites if I go to the pub; Chinese or Thai.

Favourite Drink: SHiraz in the evening, before dinner. Very pleasant.
