Thanks Zuzu.
A warm welcome to Vicki indeed. However, I do wonder how you manage to read in the gym. Between workouts?🙄🤓

Brisket is good stuff!!! ;-)

Author/ Reader: Both
Favourite Book: That really depends on my mood, but the books I re-read most often are The Harry Potter series, The Lord of the Rings, and IT and Carrie by Stephen King.
Favourite time to read: Usually when I'm in bed.
Favourite Food: Chocolate cake and cream.
Favourite Drink: Coke/Pepsi.
Welcome to our group Chris. And yes everyone loves to curl up in bed with a book. Good choices. 😅
Welcome Melina. Good to hear about your blog. Could you send us a link please?
PS. That only liquid diet needs some looking into! ;)

Loved the 'Dishwasher' & ' Things that go bump in the night' blog titles...am sure they will make an interesting read.

Author/ Reader: Both
Favourite Book: There are so many, but if I had to choose, it would have to be something from my childhood that got me excited about words and reading in the first place by Dr. Seuss. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish LOL
Favourite time to read: Is there ever a time not to read?
Favourite Food: Ice Cream (Yeah, I know, it's not healthy, so what's your point?)
Favourite Drink: Pepsi

Author/ Reader: Both! My debt novel launched Nov. 1, so I'm very new at the author part, but I've been a lifetime reader. It's been interesting, lately, to split time between writing and reading.
Favourite Book: Way too many too name, especially given there will be top favs in different genres. How would someone even think of comparing Atwood to Nietzsche or Balogh to Tolkien! Can't be done. I have top favs in every genre, but what I'm in the mood to re-read depends on what's happening in life. Sometimes a book will change my life one year but then fall flat another year. Everything depends on timing.
Favourite time to read: In the morning before I start my day and in the evening when I'm winding down.
Favourite Food: Depends on mood. Top favs include sushi, pasta, Tex-mex, traditional Brit, and anything chocolate.
Favourite Drink: macchiato or a cuppa of Earl G.
Welcome Paullett. Yes it is very difficult indeed to slot just one book as a favourite. Multiple books in every genre are worthy of one's attention. Having said that, those are great writers that you have mentioned.

Favourite Book: That's a tough one...
Favourite time to read: Bedtime
Favourite Food: I have a gummy bear addiction.
Favourite Drink: Coffee
Welcome M. A gummy bear additiction! Why, that's unique. Hope you find this group just as addictive.

Author/ Reader: Both, but I'm here as a new Author of a memoir written in free verse poetry - Small Town Kid.

The memoir is about growing up in a small town in North East Victoria during the 1960s and 70s. A time and a childhood that seemed to disappear in the space of a heartbeat, and was completely gone by the time my own kids were listening to me telling tall stories and myths (or fibs) about the way of life I'd known.
Favourite Book: There's a range, but some Author's I have a lot of on my shelf include: Ursula Le Guin; Robin Hobbs; Tolkien (of course); Translations of Gaston Bachelard from the French; Terry Pratchett.
Favourite time to read: Evening, in bed before sleep.
Favourite Food: Steak and chips are favorites if I go to the pub; Chinese or Thai.
Favourite Drink: SHiraz in the evening, before dinner. Very pleasant.
Welcome Frank. That is amazing that you have managed to write a memoir in poetry. I have been trying to do it for a year now.

Cheers Grasshopper. Nice to be here. There's a touch of the verse novel about the intro to The Long Take book. Nice, and not that many of them about.

Author/ Reader: I regularly write theological blogs for a seminary and my first novel, Hælend's Ballad (apocalyptic fantasy/steampunk), is currently being edited. I also read a lot of historical biographies (mostly in the realm of 16th century English reformers and Tudors).
Favourite Book: That's hard to say, but fiction wise, The Children of Húrin has left the deepest impression on me.
Favourite time to read: Whenever I get the chance.
Favourite Food: Good pizza.
Favourite Drink: A cup of strong English (or Irish) Breakfast Tea.
Welcome Ian. That is a unique genre of writing. I am sure we are going to enjoy reading your work. Do you mind posting an excerpt in 'Work here authors'?

The town I live in opened up a brick oven pizza restaurant two weeks ago. As soon as I went I knew I was done for. I'll have to rework my budget to eat out more often :)

As soon as my editor is finished proofreading my excerpts I will. Thanks!
