Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2455 comments Welcome to the Readathon, Lily! I really liked All Systems Red and hope to continue Murderbot's journey soon! Don't forget to just have fun! Take a break if you need to. Don't pressure yourself! And forget snacks! :) Good luck!

Mika | 41 comments Thanks Elyse!!
Yay, the Murderbot Diaries are fun, quick reads (perfect for readathons hehehe). I assume you meant >don't forget snacks, because there's no way I'm gonna forget the snacking lol!

Mika | 41 comments Only 2 hours left until the readathon starts, wiie!!
(The readathon starts at 14:00 here in Sweden)

I didn't get much sleep last night since my neighbors decided to throw a party...my original plan was to stay awake for the full 24 hours but I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that anymore arghhh.
Ohh and just a heads up about my TBR, I am a mood reader so I might end up reading different books, but I will make updates throughout the readathon!

The snacks that I've prepared are oreo cookies, chocolate and croissants. (If I'm going to be unhealthy I might aswell go all in, right?!? ;))

Mika | 41 comments 1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Sweden
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? Fullmetal alchemist Vol.2, since I loved the first volume!
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? Chocolate, no doubt ;)
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I'm 21 y/o, my favorite genre is fantasy, I love playing the guitar, that's it haha
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I have participated in readathons before, but I've never posted anything online, so that's what I´d like to do here on Goodreads, join the community and talk with other readers during the readathon! :D

Mika | 41 comments Update: I finished reading The naked Sun during the first 2 hours of the readathon (I started this book before the readathon so I only had 42 pages left to read). You can find my review here

Now I'm planning to pick up my next read, Proven guilty by Jim Butcher. :D

message 39: by Mika (new)

Mika | 41 comments This readathon was a lot of fun, even though I didn't read as much as I wanted to! I did something different this time, instead of trying to read as fast as possible I read at a slower speed and I enjoyed doing that a lot more.
I finished The naked Sun, got to page 46 in The eye of the World and page 98 in Proven Guilty. My favorite read was definitely The eye of the World, even though I only got to page 46. I love the story and all of the characters so far, and I'm looking forward to continue reading this book. :D

Final update:
Total pages read: 186 pages
Reading time: 6h 30min

Mika | 41 comments Hello!

I’m going to participate this time too, wohoo!! I haven’t decided if I’m going to go all in and stay awake for 24 hours or just participate lowkey haha. I won’t be starting any new books (i think) since I’m already in the middle of so many books. I don’t even know if I’m going to be able to finish any of the books, but I’d be happy to just make progress in them!
The books that I’ll be (possibly) reading from are:

The dragon republic
House of leaves
Eye of the world
On the shoulders of titans

btw, I don’t have access to a computer right now so I can’t change the title of this thread so it’s stuck on April haha.
