Suzanne | 5417 comments Wow everyone - I got the spreadsheet books placed (just in the working one so far) and we are midway through our TENTH readthrough. Pretty amazing since 12 hours ago we just finished our 7th :)

message 802: by Eunice (new)

Eunice | 666 comments Is it over? I can still squeeze in my book for this week if it isn't.

message 803: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments There is still time :)

We need to have our books finished one hour before the start of week 5.
The countdown to start of week 5 is here:

https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...

So whatever you can finish up til an hour before that countdown goes off would be fantastic :)

message 804: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Note: if you don't want to open the countdown, we basically have to have our books finished by 4 hours and 23 minutes from the time this message is posted :) Then the new week starts in 5 hours and 23 minutes.

message 805: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 1408 comments Posted my last book for the week. Murder at the Mendel (A Joanne Kilbourn Mystery #2) by Gail Bowen works for the last N in our 10th readthrough. :)

message 806: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Thank you!

message 807: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Wow I just realized we only have 2 more wheel-a-thon weeks. It has gone by so very quickly!

Also, I've entered all but the last word in there (saving it in case we need to flex/move any last minute books). Anyway, points-wise we will pass last week's total for sure. Well done!

Update

We read 50 books as a team this week which is our second highest yet!. But our page counts were the highest so far as we have an average of 31 points per book (last week was 27 and before that was 21). So this was our highest scoring week yet woohoo! Great work everyone!

Please don't finish anything in the next 50 minutes as we are going to have week 4 locked.

I'll post again once week 5 is ready to roll for REINDEER

Lexi - I just checked your comments in the BOM thread. If you want to answer some of the part 3 questions posted by Ora then we can claim the participation points this week

message 814: by Lexi (new)

No probs. :)
Thanks for that.
The BOM participation isn't automatic, so you just need to shout it out here so we can grab the links to your comments to claim it :)

Finished
The Fifth Letter by Nicola Moriarty by another Moriarty sister which only works for E, but I guess that's something!

message 819: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4247 comments Better than my first one which is only D but has a reindeer on the cover:
Christmas Magic by Alexandra Moody

message 820: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Yay and we're on the reindeer boards :)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16593 comments Mod
woohoo! Nice reindeer there Lexi :)

I'm going to read books that I know have an "I" as that is a tough one. I'm hoping the "E"s won't be too hard seeing how many of them we have lol

Pssst .... We went up to 7th spot!

That's a bit exciting - we have been sitting at 8th every week. So nice to move up a smidge :)

message 823: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 1408 comments That's awesome Karen. Yay for us!

First book of the week on spreadsheet. Iceberg (Dirk Pitt, #3) by Clive Cussler - only works for RID.

message 824: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4247 comments Started a 600 page book - Children of Time - but so far no letters work so I will save the last bit for next week if I do not find one that works.

message 825: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Hopefully in all those pages there will be something :) But thats a good backup plan.

I finished
Visions of Sugar Plums (Stephanie Plum, #8.5) by Janet Evanovich
which was great fun.
And it has the word reindeer in the text ;)

I really enjoyed it! Gwyneth isn't nearly as silly as I first thought & she's much more steadfast than that Charlotte. I originally picked it up for the red cover, but now I think I'll read the series -- eventually! Glad you liked Sugar Plums.... I call the whole bunch 'brain candy!'

I picked up the series for the same reason. The colours are awesome for reading challenges! lol

Yes it is a bit... It is kind of like a "lighter" version of Charley Davidson. I do love her family, and Morelli is so cool and steadfast

Tina ❣ (nutrinut) | 2000 comments Does it still count if I post my answers to DQ for The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein? I've been reading it slowly and couldn't keep up with the set dates

Would the points still count if I finished before the end of this month?

message 837: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 1408 comments I'm having trouble finishing books again. Not starting them, I'm very good at that. :D One added to the spreadsheet for yestereday - In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware for RIND. I'm chipping away at the Reindeer in title book.

I think the points will still count if you finish and post question answers by the end of the challenge. You basically need to read it within a month of the buddy read.

Finished
The Masked City (The Invisible Library, #2) by Genevieve Cogman

Strangely I had already read it, but had nothing in Goodreads to show that! I had the kindle version and thought I'd sync it to audible, but then audible told me I had already bought it back in 2016 and read it already! lol As I was reading some parts were familiar. But I guess I've read a couple of hundred books since then so I didn't have a great grasp of what was going to happen next

message 841: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Oh how funny. But you're right, when you read tons of books, it can be hard to remember them! I didn't realize there was a second book in that series, so I'm glad you mentioned it.

Well done!
Yes, it confuses me sometimes too as settings are used for UNO, but not for wheelathon ;)
