I think I was able to do it this because I added one graphic novel (which I don't usually read) to the list. That actually helped with my fatigue. And I was still able to get a lot of pages with the visit to my mom.
So a win-win!

Great job, Vicki! I've found that graphic novels help a lot! Not just with page count ;) but also with mental fatigue. Though I did have to re-read the final pages of one of mine because I did not remember how it ended the night before. lol.

I agree about the graphic novels. I did that last year. This time I went with something similar--illustrated young readers books. Looking forward to April. See you then :-)

Dana, I do not read a lot of these kind of books so they are new and fresh for me. I really liked the first one, but the one I am reading now A Court of Mist and Fury which is the second one is EVEN BETTER! I can not put it down! And it is 23 hours long on audible. I really recommend the series.

April 25, 5am start time for San Diego, CA
This was supposed to be my brother's wedding weekend. Very disappointing that it had to all be postponed, so I will participate in the RaT instead.

Try and enjoy the readathon.

Am going to try to set up my TBR and scaled back check ins today though. I don't think I will do all the hourly stuff this time. Will check out some other people's post and see what they are doing.

The Boy from the Woods

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
San Diego, CA
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
The new Harlan Coben The Boy from the Woods
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Peanut M&Ms
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I am a teacher trying to do the distance learning thing!
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
More reading but also more breaks. Less pressure.
Vickie, The Female of the Species looks like intriguing reading (and like bravery for the writer). Enjoy your reading!

I have been derailed almost all day. My husband is home and is "waiting' for me. lol I have gone on a walk, played badminton and went swimming to keep him occupied. It is almost 90 degrees here today (San Diego, CA) so swimming and getting some sun was actual wonderful.
I had to go help my mom move some potted plants (yes, on the hottest day of the year!), but that is better than the last readathon when she was in the hospital.
So having said that, I have only read about 300 pages. And listened for 30 minutes.
The great news is the book I am reading The Boy from the Woods is very good and entertaining.
I finished one that was 3 short stories and loved it. Suicide Run: Three Harry Bosch Stories
I started a new audible and it seems interesting. The Farm
Have a great second half everyone!
It almost 90 degrees here too in Corlus Christi, Texas. It's summertime.
Sounds like you have had a good day. Enjoy your evening.

Even though I spent less time on the read a thon, I actually read more because I wasn't able to do very many challenges, check ins and just general social media.
It was a great time and I can't wait to do it again!
