SOLVED. A girl gets sent to a group home where she makes friends some of her friends are special like her

Okay. So the book is a YA book and it came out probably 2010-2015 maybe. The girl gets sent to a group home where the people in charge are kind of crazy and want to experiment on them. I don't remember her name but I remember the name of the werewolf(?) she met there, his name was Derek and she ended up in a relationship with him. I think her other friends name was Simon and he was a magician...necromancer? I don't really remember and could be getting some of the facts mixed up. Anyways, they plotted ways to get out of the group home and run away and eventually they did. I believe it's a part of a series.
