Best feeling ever🙌🏼

Leslie | 2430 comments Tessa, I *might* have to ask you to pick me a new one. I didn't realize Neighbors Neighbors (Twin Estates, #1) by Stylo Fantome was a sex club book. I am going to try a few more chapters and see how it goes. After the Original Sinners series, I have had my fill of sex club stories.

When I'm really in a slump I go to PNR or SMUT!

message 104: by JudyCa (new)

JudyCa | 1709 comments Donna, if you haven't read the Thoughtless trilogy you should read that too! It's pretty angsty as well! 😬

Donna B (donnajo11) Judy, I’ve been wanting to read Thoughtless but I have to budget my book money. The Idea of You and Beautiful Disaster are on my list as well. *sigh*.

message 106: by Donna (new)

Donna B (donnajo11) Ela I usually go to a psycho thriller or a YA when I’m in a rut.

I'm so jealous that you have all these wonderfully angsty books to read!!!

message 108: by Donna (new)

Donna B (donnajo11) Renee have you read the Mrs. February duet by Karen Cimms?

message 109: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Not yet. But Paula told me I needed to. I LOVED her Of Love and Madness series.

message 110: by Donna (new)

Tessa, if I remember correctly the sex club is just kind of backdrop to where the story takes place. There is one scene toward the beginning of the book that's a little over the top...but after that, I don't remember it being much of factor. Granted, it's been a while...

message 113: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Donna wrote: "Yes you definitely need to read it. It’s awesome!"

I'm slogging through a 3rd person romance right now. WAAAAAAY too much telling and not enough doing, saying, FEELing. If the writing wasn't good and the story didn't have potential, I'd chuck it. I'll definitely put K.C.'s duet in line to be one of my next 3.

message 114: by Michele (new)

Michele (guilliem) | 2131 comments Donna, do you have library access with overdrive? I was able to read The Idea of You, Beautiful Disaster and Thoughtless through my library that way.

I know what you mean Donna...there are a few big ones I haven't read yet...I wish I could lend out books bc I'd lend you Thoughtless...do you use your library? You might be able to get some from there
PS... Beautiful Disaster is a must as well! 😁😁

I've had that one on my list for a while but haven't gotten to it yet...I need to read it 😬

message 117: by Donna (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Donna, have you at least read Twilight and 50 Shades??

Cause seriously... you are losing major street cred here. 😛

message 121: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Lisa, it was me complaining about Neighbors (Twin Estates, #1) by Stylo Fantome ! Hee hee

Tessa picked it for me. But if story doesn't center around the sex club, it should be ok. Thanks!

message 122: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Ela would have to throw me out too. I have read Thoughtless (and have the scars to prove it!!!) But no Beautiful Disaster for me yet either. And I don't like PNR. I think we can take, her, Donna...she can't kick us both out!!!

message 124: by Donna (new)

Donna B (donnajo11) Lol!! I love PNR and I didn’t care for 50 shades 😱. Never read Twilight but have seen the movies like 37 times. Does that count ? I’m sweating over here ...

Yeah, I don't believe it centered around the sex club. It was far more detailed and deeper than that. I think. :P It has been a while. I read it as soon as it came out.

Tessa | 1761 comments Judy.Ca wrote: "Tessa, I've only read one on your list so it was hard...but I went with an author I really like...On Every StreetOn Every Street (The Artists Trilogy, #0.5) by Karina Halle"

Alright, tried to read On Every Street but I realized that the name sounded familiar. It is the prequel to the Artists trilogy so I do want to read it, but this is basically a no happy ending book. So, I DNF'd it, BUT! I really want to read the Artists trilogy because it really did catch me. I just didn't want to read the sad ending. (I'm a wuss, yes.)

message 133: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Oh Leslie, if that doesn't work, I second pick Speakeasy (True North, #5) by Sarina Bowen because I read book one and loved it and am curious if it holds through the series. :D

message 136: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Tessa, I actually liked the later books in series better than book 1!!

Steadfast (True North, #2) by Sarina Bowen
Keepsake (True North, #3) by Sarina Bowen
Bountiful (True North, #4; Brooklyn Bruisers #4.5) by Sarina Bowen were all 4.5 **** reads!!! The H in Steadfast is TO DIE FOR!!!

*blows whistle* whoooooa, hold up, just a minute!

Show of hands... who hasn't read Twilight? Thoughtless? ACOTAR? Black Daggar Brotherhood? Bad Things? Next you'll be telling me you didn't read Arsen? Grounded... you're alllll grounded! *are you ready...* Who hasn't read the *C* book? *runs and hides*

message 142: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Grey, you also forgot Beautiful Disaster, 50 Shades and The Opportunist. I think all of those are rites of passage for all romance readers.

Even me, miss picky pants has read them all. (Well, I never finished ACOTAR & BDB but I "tried" them)

message 143: by Michele (new)

Michele (guilliem) | 2131 comments Ok you already know I haven’t read Bad Things — I should also confess I’ve also not read The Opportunist...but I’m gonna!!! I’ve ready everything else you all listed just now ...except for maybe the “C” book — what is that?!

message 144: by JudyCa (new)

JudyCa | 1709 comments ok, here goes...I will just confess to those I have yet to experience ...but first I'm not connecting the dots on ACOTAR???
I did read 'C' recently so that gives me bonus points because the Opportunist and Arsen I still need to get to, HOWEVER, I have them both borrowed on KU just waiting for me :-)

message 145: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Wait!!! I haven't read "c" book because when I first met Ela, she told me not to.

*whispers to Michele* The c book is The Story of Us (Carnage, #1) by Lesley Jones

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments I volunteer as tribute to unread the "C" book.

I couldn't do Arson or ACOTAR, I finished Thoughtless, The Opportunist, and Beautiful Disaster--but just barely, and I wanted to read BDB, but the series is $$$. Loved the other 3!

message 150: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Night Owl was a trip. The stuffed manatee was adorable (and the pet rabbit).

Why am I banished to my room?
