Sabrina | 2 comments I have been searching for this book for awhile, and the details are fuzzy I'm sorry. I read this around 2003- 2006 think.

The books was set in modern time, English, in America or England setting, dark cover, gothic feel though it was children's book, Edgar and Ellen vibe to it.

The book follows a young book who lives with a man in a gothic horror-type house (old, falling apart). There is a train set in the attic with a wonderful model town. This is the boy's only happiness in his life, but the man (uncle, adopted parent?) is a mythical being (vampire? wizard?) that shrinks him down and has the boy race against time try to escape the the model. He is fed only pink lemonade and doughnuts which is begins to cause him to turn into one of the plastic models. He is fighting against hunger, dehydration, monsters, and trying to help save the lives of other people there who are by now mostly plastic as well.

I'm sorry I can't provide more, I read it when I was young and this is all I remember.
