My daughter is the one who read only half of this book. She believes it was an adult book in the mystery genre. The main character is a teenage girl and she has a younger brother (maybe 2 brothers). They just moved into a new house. The siblings fought over who would get the room. She would always dream about being in front of a door that she can’t open and then hears man whisper which would wake her up.
The lock is part of an old fashioned door and the knob is also included on the cover with a old fashioned key going into the lock.
