I'm currently in the middle of this one and it fits what you are asking for. The h is definitely a prisoner of the H but since her father who she lived with before was worse than the H she's not completely miserable.

YA Fanstasy with a slow burn romance. The story is about a war and people with secret magic powers which are the reasons behind her captivity.

I'm not sure how it ends because I'm still only like 1/3 in.

There are many witty characters. The h is weak of body and of circumstances but pretty strong of characters. The only pov is from the heroine's.

I definitely second The Bird and the Sword.

Also, in Dancing on Coals the heroine is rescued by the hero's family but then kept as a prisoner/forced guest as the hero's brother wants the heroine as his "wife". Plans change and the hero is stuck with the heroine. It is a slow burn romance.

Also, in A Court of Thorns and Roses the heroine is taken prisoner by the hero for a reason other than a selfish one (view spoiler) it is a slow burn romance, however, (view spoiler)
