Edshara | 43 comments The schedule looks fine, I just haven’t started it yet. I may be a bit behind but feel free to read ahead if you want. I’m going to try and catch up on my reading this weekend. I’m so ready to read what happens next.

Edshara | 43 comments I know I said I might be behind, but I went on a day trip with family and was able to read in the car. I’m finished with Part 1, so feel free to chat away when ready!

MaryEllen (mherrera2nd) | 90 comments Yay! I just finished reading Part 1 and so far so good. It's been easy to jump right into the story. 😁

MaryEllen (mherrera2nd) | 90 comments Hi - let me share my thoughts so far. Section 1 has been interesting and I like reading about the Sky Witch and the Chocolate Ogre. The introduction of The Ripper is fun and I like that character so far. I think this will bring in some fun aspects to the Everlost world as the story continues (or so I'm hoping).

What do you think of The Ripper?

Edshara | 43 comments So I am loving this book so far. I love that their are so many different pieces, all going at the same time. I like the history Neal Shusterman includes in his story. I’m not the biggest fan of Mary, but I will say she is clever and I like how she is rebuilding.

Nick’s transformation is probably my favorite. I think it’s cool how he’s changed and how he seems the most settled. I don’t know if this makes sense, but Allie, Mary and Mikey seem a bit all over the place with their actions and emotions. Nick’s change seems to be, for right now, for the better. I feel like everyone else has the potential to be evil. We shall see, I guess.

I like the Ripper and I’m glad the character is a girl. I’m really interested to see what happens with her next.

MaryEllen (mherrera2nd) | 90 comments I agree. I like Nick's story and character and I think he's the most relateable to me. I kind of like Mikey too because he's so interesting and has a lot to work through - plus I love him as a villain so I'm hoping we can see that side of him again.

Me too - I wonder where the storyline of the Ripper is going to develope. I liked her history and think it'll be a fun story to explore.
