The hero was a celebrity I think an actor. He found out about his ex (I think she was British) having kid with him and wants them to move in with him in LA or somewhere in that area to see his child grow up. He promises her a lot and when she finally moves in with him (I think a female friend was moving with her for support) he has an terrible new girlfriend and they (hero & new gf) are throwing a lot of parties and using drugs and drinking alcohol in front of the kid. The new gf doesn't care for the little kid. There was also something with a costume party and the new girlfriend going as an angel and I think the kid went as a pumpkin. I belive this book was published in 2011 or prior

I think Ann aka Iftcan is right...it does sound like the same book. Here is what I remember:The hero was a celebrity I think an actor. It was an ebook and I must have read it between 2007 and 2010.
it really sounds like the same book. I think I've read it in 2011, I remenber I really liked the book but as much as I try I can't remember the title or the author
I think the h moves back to Britain after a particular bad party and the H is following her and they start a new life in Britain.

I think the child was a boy, quite young not yet in school maybe 3. He was really scared of the gf. Hero and heroine weren't married.
I think at first he didn't know about the kid and when he did he kinda blackmailed her to staying with him (custody).
I just remember h being a Brit. I think she might have worked as H's PA? But I'm really not sure about that.
I think I remember them staying the entire time of a party in the bathroom of H's house because it got so out of hand and h, h's friend the the kid going back to Britain after that.

He was a celebrity of some kind...might have been a musician. I can't remember why they split up. Been to long since I've read it.
