The Slightly Odd World of Phil Whiteland
If he didn't have a soft spot for him, he would have been justified in letting him go long ago. What a character! Reminds me somehow of Mrs. Malaprop.

Anyway, here's a new Josiah and Archibald conversation for you:https://www.abctales.com/story/philwh...
Jim wrote: "go for tropical, so many have missed their summer holidays you might catch the rush :-)"Good idea! I've given up all hope of anything like a holiday this year. It'll be a week at Ourgate at this rate ;-)
Jim wrote: "Never work with Children or animals :-)"So they say and what with these two and my saxophone-playing reindeer, I've got the set!

I set myself the target of producing a new Packham and India story for Christmas Eve (sadly, without Packham) :https://www.abctales.com/story/philwh...
and a new Undertakers story for Christmas Day:

and, though I say it as shouldn't, I think they've worked out quite well! The Undertakers even got a Cherry Award :-)
Jim wrote: "loved the Christmas undertakers :-)"Thanks Jim. I'm chuffed! Sometimes it feels as if you're shouting into the void, so a comment is always very welcome :-)
Hope you and yours had a good Christmas!
Jim wrote: "too good a deal to miss :-)I stuck it on facebook as well :-))"
You are a gentleman, Jim and don't let anyone tell you any different!
:-)
You know how it is when you get some dialogue rolling around in your mind and you just have to do something with it? No? Oh well, it's just me then! Anyway, that's what happened to me the other day and it resulted in the first of these three stories. Since then, the characters and the story seem to have taken on a life of their own! Goodness knows where it's going to, but I'm quite enjoying the ride! See what you think:1. https://www.abctales.com/story/philwh...

Thanks Alicia. I'm glad you're enjoying the Undertakers. Yes, Archibald was thrust upon Oakshott and Underwood because of his family connections, originally, but I think Josiah has a soft spot for him despite that :-)
