I'm starting on
for the Sugarpop challenge. I don't know if I'll even be able to get through the whole thing depending on how it's written, but I'm optimistic so far. It's a monster of a book at over 600 pages but I'm hoping that excellent writing will keep me reading it.

I read the 2nd as so many of my friends loved this series and it was marginally better, but I had to force myself to finish it. That was reason enough for me not to read the 3rd one!

I will add that the book is much better on audio than in print IMO. Also - I loved the second book :)
Am almost halfway through The Obsession by Nora Roberts, which I started yesterday. Did NOT want to put it down last night.

. Kind of a cozy. Love this series!"I think they are cozies but a bit light on the mystery. I enjoy them anyway.
I'm reading Code Name Pauline: Memoirs of a World War II Special Agent and still reading Interview with the Vampire which got interrupted for a time because I decided to read Wild Tales: A Rock & Roll Life. It was interesting to read about one of my favorite bands, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, who seemed to only perform well when high!!?? Hasn't changed my opinion about their music.
Classic re-issue for One Pink Rose
by Julie Garwood.My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Should finish Archie in the Crosshairs sometime this evening after work. About 44 pages to go. I have some ideas on one of the two mysteries in this novel, but Archie hasn't talked to everyone yet.

Lucky. I had to request my copy via interlibrary loan.
I just started reading
by Marissa Meyer... I've had a stream of bad luck lately with books I haven't enjoyed at all so I'm going with a tried and true author in Marissa Meyer. She's one of my favorites. The book will also count towards my Sugarpop Ultimate Book Challenge.

I started
Blood Orchids this morning. I'm only a few chapters in but I guess this is considered a thriller/mystery. I haven't read anything terribly gory or bloody yet but there are 2 dead bodies. This is a new to me series and I like it so far.
Started two books over the weekend, one a cozy and the other is Skin and Other Stories by Roald Dahl -- a group read for another group. Read the first two stories, will pick up one or two more after the cozy I'm reading.
Just finished reading my interlibary loan
Contact by Carl Saganhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9...I enjoyed the Christian theme in the book. Even though there are a lot of challenges faced by the pastor, who is the main character - It has sort of a warm whimsical feeling through the book. It was a good example of patience, and faith. Not freaking out when handling life's more serious obstacles. Appropriate for men and women, boys and girls of all ages.

I did enjoy it. I'm enjoying her books so far. Maybe I'll actually sit through the movies now...I didnt have much of an interest growing up but now, I just might try them. :-)
A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg I haven't been doing much reading lately, so I've been "stuck" on this book for a while. Not because it's boring, but because I just haven't wanted to read. :-)
Started The Return of the Soldier by Rebecca West last night for a classic group read. I'm 1-1/5 chapters from the end, and probably would have finished it last night, had I not started it after 7pm and had to get up early today for work. Will certainly finish it later tonight. Darn day job...
Finished last night.
Something Wyverian This Way Comes by Jeffrey M. PooleNow reading
The Hunt for Red Oskorlisk by Jeffrey M. Poole, a short story set after the events in the book I finished last night. Also started
Alibi in High Heels by Gemma Halliday to finish off the May mini challenge.
Antiques & AvariceJust finished this and starting on her new one. It's such a fun read and seems to be a great series. Love the characters, love the storyline.
Finished reading
Little Black Lies by Sharon Bolton last night -- finally! I really wanted to enjoy this more than I did. For some reason, it just never really grabbed me.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I just finished
this morning. Wow, what a great, straight up mystery! I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
I am listening to
but I don't like it as much as others seem to. I liked Kubica's other mystery better. I also decided to start the second Lei Crime book
since I loved
so much. So far Torched Ginger is quite different from Blood Orchids but I still like it.
Finished
Alibi in High Heels by Gemma Halliday. Now continuing my read of
A Multitude of Monsters by Craig Shaw Gardner.
