This series is definitely cozy, so I'd put it under the "what cozy are you reading" thread!

Carla (carla1957) I have been reading a variety of genres from cozy to suspense/thrillers to crime as well as YA and some children's books. Right now I have a couple of cozies on the go as well as Only the Brave by Mel Sherratt and Second to Cry (Avalon, #2) by Carys Jones . Both good so far.

Started The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan Saturday afternoon, and spent a good chunk of the weekend reading. 500 pages total, and only about 100 to go -- I finally had to put it down last night just as epic battles were to begin, or I wouldn't have gotten a lick of sleep. I feel like a zombie this morning as it is. :-S

Just finished An Ember in the Ashes An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir - a great YA story about two teens set in a Rome-like Empire. 5 star read for me. The narration is excellent so I def recommend the audio.

J.A. Lang (jalang) | 82 comments I've been dipping into some non-cozy crime reading lately. Enjoying books by Deborah Crombie, Ruth Rendell and Louise Penny so far.

Tried the first Tony Hill book by Val McDermid, but afraid I found it rather too gory/disturbing for my tastes.

Any recommendations for other authors to add to my non-cozy crime list? =)

This series is in the TBR pile. I loved the Percy Jackson series and the Kane Chronicles. I hope to get to it by the end of the year.

One of those books you either love or you hate. I would be in the latter category. I love his Kenzie & Gennaro series, tho. It starts with A Drink Before the War A Drink Before the War (Kenzie & Gennaro, #1) by Dennis Lehane .

Kirsten (kmcripn) Just started reading The New York Trilogy The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster by Paul Auster.

There's a great line in the first chapter describing the narrators love of mysteries:

It was a kind of hunger that took hold of him, a craving for a special food, and he would not stop until he'd eaten his fill.
