It is on pre-order and when I tried to add it to My Books the system instead added it with me as the author. Can that entry be deleted? How would I add a book that is on pre-order?

I separated them from all other editions and combined them together to merge reviews. Then I separated them again and combined the first one with other editions. The second one is duplicate which I have no permissions to delete. Could you please help?

In this case, yes, since it was properly published. In some ways it's similar to the Wikipedia-scrape books - they're both properly published, and so are considered "books" for Goodreads' purposes.

Regarding reviews. Some readers, unfortunately, don't bother to check what they are attaching a review to, and thus it's up to them to move it if they care enough. We have to assume that they knew what they were doing and thus chose to put it under that work...

Just some clarification for your future requests and merging that you are doing yourself:

Separating editions will not transfer the reviews. If you can't see the reviews after separating books that's because of the site caching.
The duplicated edition needs to be deleted while it is combined with the edition you want to transfer the reviews to.
In this case you should have only done step 1 - separate both editions together and only recombine the remaining one once the merge is completed.
If you were to delete the edition which is not combined with any other editions all reviews and shelvings will be lost as there is nothing to transfer them to.

The other two versions - the paperback and the ebook are combined.

the title is different because it is wrong, compare with the image to check.
and the covers are the same one has good quality and the other is not the one that is not good quality has the advertising of the site "Wook". and the original publication date is the same 2005. It does not contain any information. was added without being confirmed if it already existed. Therefore to me it is duplicated.
