I'm serious. Really.

message 52: by Leah (new) - rated it 4 stars

Leah I was pretty certain that Cinder would be Princess Selene. As soon as she mentioned the dream about being in an inferno, I connected the dots that she was probably subconsciously remembering the fire that "killed" her. As soon as she was declared Lunar, I was dead set on the fact that Cinder was Princess Selene.

Rosalynn Totally called it. Once we found out that she was lunar, all the pieces starting fitting together, so it just made sense. But it didn't detract from the story in any way. OMG I CANT WAIT FOR WINTER IM LIKE TOTALLY DYING CUZ ITS OVER A YEAR AWAY SO CRIES

I know right!!!!! At least fairest is coming out sooner!

message 55: by Nick (new) - rated it 4 stars

Nick Agreed,it was predictable but well written. I enjoyed it.

Destiny I honestly had no clue. I didn't guess at all. I feel like I should have but I was delighted when I read it.

Sarah Yeah I kinda knew it as soon as a missing princess was mentioned

message 58: by Karou (new) - added it

Karou I took a complete guess before I started the book and after reading it and completing it, I'm just going to say that my guess was pretty damn good xD

I guessed she was Lunar and Princess Selene from before even reading it, but I wanted to see how it would play out, and omfg the series so far is perfect

Allegra I called it really early on that she is princess Selene.

Georgia I did! I kind of wish i didn't though so it would have been more of a surprise.

message 61: by Skye_Puppy (new)

Skye_Puppy I like exploded when I found out she was Lunar AND the princess.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, I did. For me, it was really predictable

Lauren I guessed it right when the book started talking about princess Selene

Me too.

message 65: by L (new) - rated it 5 stars

L Yep. it was obvious. but it was still amazing!

Channah It was one of the more heavy-handed storytelling moments I've ever experienced.
"There's this princess who could usurp the throne and the love interest wants to marry and she must be dead because they found pieces of her body, and here's our cyborg main character who has a mysterious past HINT HINT HINT."
It was a pity, because otherwise I liked the book.

Sophie I have only read Cinder so far, and I could tell she was Princess Selene when I found out
1) Cinder was adopted
2) she was Princess Selene's age
3) Cinder was immune

So jealous! I live about 60 miles from where she lives and wish I could have a signed copy. It was so good!

Luzia Kirschbaum I knew the moment Princess Selene was mentioned. It was kind of predictable, but I love the novel <3

Mishiko Sato As I was a beginner in all this lunar chronicles I was a kind of dissapointed wiht the end of Cinder but finally I understood that continues with Scarlet

message 71: by Holly (new)

Holly Wood It was quite predictable for me once they started talking about princess Selene and about Cinder's unknown and mysterious past. Still I absolutely loved Cinder. And Scarlet. And Cress. And hopefully Winter!!!!!

Mishiko Sato It was so obvious. But I enjoyed anyway.I also thought the Dr Earland was her father, but in these point I was wrong.

Silvia Turcios I knew it when Cinder and Peoni were talking about Lunars and about the missed princess, I think around the third or fourth chapter.... I thought: "What predictable! ... but what a cute story!" :) ... I love it!

think-ink-fan-girl Well, I though it was pretty obvious, because princess Selene disappeared when Princess Selene was 3, and Cinder's fake parents got into that fake hover crash when she was 3, so yeah. I guessed it. As did many other people! :)

message 75: by Ally (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ally I had a feeling Cinder was Lunar and the missing Princess when she was not affected. I still need to read the rest of the series though!

Kela Esther Lol I guessed it as soon as they mentioned Princess Selene.

message 77: by Neha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Neha Jain Yeah, I guessed it from the moment it was revealed that she is a Lunar.
Cinder always has bad dreams, as if she is she surrounded in flames and her body is burning. I guessed that its her memory of her childhood when the lunar Queen attempted to murder her.

Booklover101 I guessed on page 44 the first time they mentioned Princess Selene.

message 79: by Fina (new) - rated it 5 stars

Fina Well, the Princess Selene is none other than Cinder herself i had found that out when she mentioned it herself, and the fact that she is also a Lunar i discovered it when i took a peek at the end sentence of the book, i know that is a really bad move but i can't help myself hahah

Kelly Brigid ♡ Afina wrote: "Well, the Princess Selene is none other than Cinder herself i had found that out when she mentioned it herself, and the fact that she is also a Lunar i discovered it when i took a peek at the end s..."

Oh, you cheater, haha.

message 81: by SD (new) - rated it 4 stars

SD It was just too obvious and if she wasn't princess selene, the story wouldn't make as much sense

Nikita I began to suspect Cinder was Selene when Levana stepped back in fear when Cinder's glamour was released.

Melinda Brasher I agree that I predicted it from the first mention of the missing princess, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. I think predictability usually isn't the worst flaw in a story, because to me it's the journey that counts. That said, I might have enjoyed it even more if she WASN'T the chosen one.
