Absolutely. I love romances of course, but I often think they’re quite limiting in terms of what I want with the whole story. I think I described this one to someone as “a love story, but not a romance.”

700 ... not bad :)) I've got rid of over 400 a few months ago! It's easier using the APP, it's the ONLY good thing about GR APP. You just slide to the left and it's gone! Lol

Hey Suanne, I just wanted to pop in to say that I just finished Chapter One of How to Build an Exaltation, and it was like a light bulb went off. That's exactly what I was curious about, what left my mind reeling after finishing Finches (don't worry Xia, no spoilers) -- wondering what what your process was like in order to have the evolution of the book be so... robust. Like overlapping circles rather than a straight line. A MANDALA, haha! And considering the amazing dimension of your characters, it's in no way surprising to me that they come first. ❤️
