Ryan Kamp | 2 comments If you were stuck on a secluded island for a year and could only bring one non-religious book with you, what book would you choose? (Wilderness survival books don't count)

And a pen.

I'll be boring and say Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time.

Otherwise, Will's idea is golden. I'd go for that, too.

Leif Sterling (leifsterling) | 3 comments I'd bring along something funny, so I'd have something to laugh at.

The Complete Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson

I also like Will's Idea. lol.

Thanks!

Jim Vuksic The Century by Peter Jennings & Todd Brewster.

Published in 1998, this overview of the twentieth century is as entertaining as it is informative. It includes written or recorded comments of historians, eyewitnesses and participants in the significant moments of the most eventful one hundred years in human history.

It provides all of the incentive needed for one, isolated on an island for a year, to want to witness and contribute to the notable events of the next century.
