If you were stuck on a secluded island for a year and could only bring one non-religious book with you, what book would you choose? (Wilderness survival books don't count)

A very large blank exercise book.

And a pen.

I'll be boring and say Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time.

Otherwise, Will's idea is golden. I'd go for that, too.
