I don't have any objects given the way our True Crime section works. If any of the members object, I'll listen to their concerns.

I've added this to the list, however, I can't find a paperback release date for the US. It's available in Canada, UK, and Australia on May 6, 2019.

Oh, good one. I read The Lost Girls: The True Story of the Cleveland Abductions and the Incredible Rescue of Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus by John Glatt, it was a fascinating albeit horrifying story.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jannene, it looks good and is an award winner. I'll ask Gem to add it to the list here if its availability is good. It's certainly available in paperback and Kindle in the UK. I think it has a slightly different title in the UK - Killers of the Flower Moon: Oil, Money, Murder and the Birth of the FBI.

It's very hard to listen to. (Dogs are treated like they treat African Americans in this book.) But the book is excellent. Just not the lightest fare.

Thanks for the recommendation Kirsten - this is an award winner too. Unfortunately, in the UK, it does not seem to be in digital form and the paperback is very expensive - surprisingly the hardback UK one is much cheaper than paperback. I'm not sure if True Crime nominations need to meet the same availability criteria as the other categories - that's a question I will have to ask Gem.

Hi Suzy, thanks for this info. When I get a moment, I will take a look and see what can be added to our nominations list. I think that I need to create a NY Times account to look at the article.

Hi Suzy, thanks for this info...."
I'll be interested if you need an account to access. Here in the States we get 10 free views of articles a month with the NY Times.

A few of the books it mentions are already on our nominations list. Thank you again for this very useful resource.

Sorry, I'm behind a bit, we read Killers of the Flower Moon in June 2018, so it's not yet eligible for a reread. I'll make a note to add it back to the nomination list for July 2020.

I've added all the books on that list, less the few that we have already read.

The paperback release date in the US is March 2020, there isn't an Australian release date as yet so that's subject to change. So I've added it to the nomination list for April 2020.
I can't wait to read this one!

I couldnt get it to link, but GoodReads lists it as paperbook. Published July 17 2018. My Libby library has it and Nook has it $1.99 (I dont know how long their deals last).
