Last place!? Obviously, we are up against some Olympian readers. Still, that doesn't change the fact that this has been my favorite challenge since my first one months ago!May the odds be ever in our favor.
I agree with ~ Giulia ~. When we post all book, we will no longer in the last place. Let hope we get at least 15 points on a spin.PS. Pls. remind me to post my book on next board in case I forget.
To be fair, we have been getting rather unlucky with our spins (be prepared for an awful lot of bad math--nobody should allow me to ever touch Excel again).Right now, we're scoring an average of 5.9 per letter with each spin--the general average is on 6.5 based on the numbers that can be spun. We scored well with the first board (an avg of 10.7 per letter), but we scored an avg of 3.8 with the second board and with this board, we're on an average of 5 points per letter.
(Based on some calcs I made instead of doing school work (procrastinating at it's best) and the current layout of the boards, we need an average of 5.5 points to at least catch up with number one.)
I regret everything
Are we sure we don't want to shuffle things to complete the board(s) now? Anyway I have to leave for a few days and I don't know how much internet connection I can find. Should I leave my reviews here so you guys can eventually copy them on the review thread when we need them?

Well, it seems to board is shuffled now (time to write some reviews because I'm behind). Well, you can always leave them here? I don't mind posting them for you (if you have no connection) and I recall Sara once or twice mentioning it that it's fine for group members to post reviews for others. (If my memory doesn't fail me).

That fact that you did all this math makes my day!! And as a fellow procrastinator, I can definitely imagine myself doing this instead of the actual math work for school XD

Seriously? I felt a bit awkward posting it, but on the other hand, I was like, I have the numbers anyway, might as well share them. I don't even have math work for school right now (I wish), I'm procastinating writing emails because, well, social interaction.

I adore that you sat down to do this. Sounds like something I would do if I wasn't so busy with work right now :D
Also, whoever did that shuffling: Great job! I'm pretty sure we will get a lot more points out of it this way!

I had fun, I love working with numbers and seeing something come out of. The only reason I still have time is because it's the beginning of college. In a week or three I wished I had this much free time. (But I'm glad I'm not the only one with these calculation impulses).
Agree with you! The shuffling is done so well, I was surprised to suddenly see so much purple in the same place.
I am almost done with Poor Unfortunate Souls! That way we can knock out Board 4 after Board 3. Bet I'll be done tomorrow or the next day ;) Seriously gonna miss being on this team. I had fun!
Me too! I like that it was still competitive despite it being a just for fun team. Never have been motivated to read this much.

Thank you! So I'm going to leave my reviews here in case I can't post them later.
It has been lots of fun being int the same team with you guys :D

I messaged Kate about her book for the current board. If she doesn't reply we could switch her books for Gabi's on the next board or mine on the one after that (the ones that are for the letter N).Does anyone know when the challenge will be over (so, what time zone we're using)?
GridGirl wrote: "I messaged Kate about her book for the current board. (Which is like, 9 in the morning for me so if there are still last things to be done, I can probably drag myself out of bed for them).
Oh, great! It's also 9 in the morning where I live, so I'll try to finish my books tonight and post my reviews tomorrow morning if all my books stay on the last board :)
Guys, did you see Sarah's post? There will be more points for books posted today! This is amazing since we have so many books left!If I don't hear back from Kate within the next two hours, I'm going to post my review for Sleeping Giants for the current board so that you guys can post all your reviews for the next board.
I saw that! There is still so much to be posted. Maybe we can catch up!Btw. I might finish 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han' today, which I hadn't expected. Not sure if there is any spot left on the boards, but I'll see.
(We must post 'Bonus Fairy Page Points' under the letter, at least, that's what I figured from the post).
I think that's only for books that don't fit a letter on a board... Those won't even receive any bonus points as far as I understood. It's just an extra offer they are making in case people can't finish a board and have already used all their fairy visits!
You can go and ask Sarah in the other thread; I'm sure she'll be happy to answer all your questions :)But since she put those little stars there and said we "can ALSO post books" we have read, but not used, I think this is a separate comment.
GridGirl wrote: "Also, Gabi, do you still think you'll be able to complete Poor Unfortunate Soul? :)"You can go ahead and switch that out with another book! ;)
If Giulia needs us to post her reviews, which one of us should do it? I don't mind if you want!

I don't think we have anything to replace it with, so we'd need the Bonus Fairy to finish board 4...
I'm going to post my review of Sleeping Giants now, since I haven't heard anything from Kate... As soon as I'm done, everyone else can post for board 4!
Okay, board 4 is ready for posting! Can someone maybe contact everyone who needs to post reviews for this board and those people who are currently reading a book just so we know if they're going to be finished or not?
I would usually do it myself, but I have more than 300 pages to go and only a few more hours that aren't supposed to be spent sleeping ;)
I'm going to crash into bed (so I will be useless for the next 7 hours), but not before doing another 30 minutes of audiobook, and then in the morning I will finish the book, so I might can add:
to the next board.Posted my reviews and Giulia's for the current board.

I'll ask Khungkhing for the review for Board 4! I'll finish Unfortunate Souls, I'm almost done! And then I'll post my reviews for that Board too :) At this rate, I think we'll knock out Boards 3 and 4! Don't think we'll be able to get to 5 in time though.

I posted my review for Board 4.
I'm not sure if I have time to post my reviews for Board 5 so I'll leave it here.

Can you finish The Kiss of Deception? If not, I'll move Ellie's book 'The One' to 'T'.

I probably won't and I was the only one to post in the br thread anyway... :/
Maybe you can change in the afterlight from I to E, because Sarah hasn't done scores so far anyway and that one would give us more points :)
GridGirl wrote: "khungkhing wrote: "GridGirl wrote: "Okay, board 4 is ready for posting! Can someone maybe contact everyone who needs to post reviews for this board and those people who are currently reading a boo..."
You mean T, right?
I'll move 'The One' to T then. I think it's more effective that way since C is only one time.
I somehow managed to finish To All the Boys I've Loved Before before the deadline, though I don't know if there is space on the board for it (and otherwise I just pop it in as a normal book). (Why are there people awake already? I thought I was the only one crazy enough to set an alarm on Saturday)
I'm patting myself on the back because, by the look of it, I read a book where there is literally no space for (oh well, i hadn't been a planned read anyway).
Mara wrote: "I'm patting myself on the back because, by the look of it, I read a book where there is literally no space for (oh well, i hadn't been a planned read anyway)."Actually, you can swap your book ... edit the comment.
Move '
' from Board 4 to letter 'U' in Board 5. That way you can put '
' in letter 'A' in Board 4.

That's pretty brilliant. My sleep-clogged brain thanks you.
I'm really sorry that I wasn't able to finish The Kiss of Deception :/I started work on Wednesday and I was told the day before, so I wasn't able to make a proper book plan...
But I finished my reading challenge, which is insane since I wanted to read 5 more books than last year and last year I literally had to take my book to the New Years Eve party I went to, to be able to complete my challenge! So, yay for me, I guess!
But I'm sorry for the team :(
@GridGirl don't feel bad! It's a just for fun challenge, you can read one book and it still counts! I mean, great communication is half of the work with teamwork. It's actually great to hear you managed to accomplish

You took your book to your New Year Eve's party!? Now THAT is some determination! I want to do that, I'm putting that on my bucket list! And congratulations on fishing your reading goal!! :D
GridGirl wrote: "Congrats everyone on doing such a great job with this challenge!"You too, GridGirl! This is going down as one my favorite challenges of the year. Thanks for being my team, everyone, I had a blast!

Thank you, GridGirl! I really think we are crushing this challenge. I can't wait to see the scores! Betchya we get first place!"
Right now we're in last place, but that'll change when we post all our books :D (unless we get a 0 spin... XD)
