Or, I can move GridGirl's The female of the species from T to O and put Thunderhead under T

~ Giulia ~ | 1239 comments Ok I've moved The Female of the Species. I hope it's all right with you, GridGirl. It's still in the 2nd board but it's under the letter O.

Jaguane now has in the 2nd board:
A - Clockwork Angel (completed)
S - Sky in the Deep
T - Thunderhead

Letters unclaimed:
2nd board: Z
3rd board: S, R, L, H

min sung ellie (minsungellie) | 166 comments I’m almost done with illuminae on the second board! I haven’t been able to update the google doc

message 106: by Jaguane (new)

Jaguane | 112 comments awesome as long as everybody is okay with the the way the board is set up I’ll start thunderhead tomorrow

message 107: by Gabi (new)

Gabi | 563 comments I'm nearly finished with my book for "S" on the first board! Bet I'll be done by tomorrow, and if not, then definitely the day after.

Sure, feel free to move my books however it fits you best!

message 109: by Gabi (new)

Gabi | 563 comments Hey guys! We finished our first board! WOO!

message 110: by GridGirl (new)

GridGirl | 622 comments Great job! I think everyone should check their tbr for a book with a Z in it, since were still missing a book for that letter on our second board (Just go to your "My books" section and type in Z in the search bar). I already checked, but I don't have any fitting books on my shelves right now...

message 111: by ~ Giulia ~ (new)

~ Giulia ~ | 1239 comments Woohoo! The 4th board is (33) Legend by Marie Lu!

message 112: by Mara (new)

Mara (mara97) | 468 comments I fear I have nothing with the z either. Well, I have two who I know for sure count, but both are the fourth book in the series (and it feels a bit wrong to read those before I read the rest, even as they're re-reads). I do have one if sub-titles/series titles count, but I doubt they do.

message 113: by Gabi (new)

Gabi | 563 comments That Z is throwing us all for a loop. I'll keep looking but so far I haven't found a book yet. I was hoping for Eliza and Her Monsters (author's name is Zappia) but my library didn't have it :'(

Same for me... We could always ask the letter fairy (I'm pretty sure that's not the real name, but you guys get it :D) to come and solve the problem for us, though!

message 115: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 10, 2018 02:47PM) (new)

I saw your problem with the Z and one book immediately came up in my mind. I was being nosy and looking at other teams

Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End

Hope I can help

That's right! I think the rules said we get one pass on a letter or something. I'll go check! If we do have a pass, are we all on agreement to pass the letter Z?

LOL Slytherpuff it's so good to see you again! Thank you for your suggestion. We hope you and your team are doing awesome!

message 118: by Gabi (new)

Gabi | 563 comments I checked the rules, and yes! Each team gets two visits from the Bonus Fairy and she'll take care of a letter for us!

I can ask her if you'd like. Are we all on agreement to take out the letter Z?

*¨·٠•●♥✿LINLAN✿♥●•٠·¨* (underjadeorchid) | 390 comments I have 3 'Z' letter books on my shelf. I can read it if I'm ahead of schedule. 😁

So can you wait until the end of next week to ask the Bonus Fairy?

message 120: by min sung ellie (last edited Aug 10, 2018 06:58PM) (new)

min sung ellie (minsungellie) | 166 comments I see a lot of "Read but not posted" on the second board. We finished the first one so yall should be able to write in your reviews. Just a reminder!

Sure, we can wait until all other letters for this board are done, in my opinion :)
Did you check if 'Z' is actually in the original title?

message 122: by GridGirl (new)

GridGirl | 622 comments Just letting you guys know that I'll be starting the audio book for Assassin's Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy, #1) by Robin Hobb today and I'll put it in for R on the third board. It would work for H as well (the author is Robin Hobb). If anyone wants to take R, just move it to H or even to A on the fourth board. The audio book is pretty long (for me anyway), so it might take a while until I'll finish it, so in case we can fill the spots on the third board with other books, this one might be best for the fourth board :)

message 123: by GridGirl (new)

GridGirl | 622 comments Okay, I know this involves a lot of moving around, but I'm pretty sure it'll make things better:
I have Wayward (Wayward Pines, #2) by Blake Crouch on my shelf and I really want to read it, but for that we'd have to move "The darkest minds" (Reader: Khungkhing) from B to T and "The asonishing color of after" (Reader: Amilia) from T to R. I would move the above mentioned "Assassins Apprentice" from R to H and that way our third board would be full :)
Let me know if everyone is okay with that! 😊

*¨·٠•●♥✿LINLAN✿♥●•٠·¨* (underjadeorchid) | 390 comments I put Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin in for Z. But if anyone wants to take Z, just move it to E in the fourth board. Now I'm still not sure when I'm going to start 😀

*¨·٠•●♥✿LINLAN✿♥●•٠·¨* (underjadeorchid) | 390 comments @Jaguane, @Mara, and @Ellie I just want to ask whether you guys ok if I move the move books around.

Since Mara has finished her book, we could move Illuminae to K on Board 2. I'll move mine (These Broken Stars) to S.

Sky in the Deep (Reader: Jaguane) will be moved to S in Board 3 and Marcelo in the Real World (Reader: Ellie) will be moved to I

GridGirl | 622 comments Have you all seen Sarah's post on the review thread? Sou you prefer if she spins once or twice?

Also, do you guys think we should switch some things around between board 3 and 4? Some people already started books on board 4 although we haven't even completed the second board... Just let me know if everyone is okay with me moving some stuff around :)

I think once is fine? Though two increases the odds we get a better roll (I think we have been scoring somewhat decent?)

I'm fine with things being shuffled around. I generally put the book titles wherever it fits.

message 134: by GridGirl (new)

GridGirl | 622 comments Okay, I moved some stuff around, so all out CR are on board 2 and 3. I copied the old version of the boards (it's on the right side) in case someone would not be okay with something. I'll delete it tomorrow if nobody comes forward and asks to move it back :)

I think twice is more safe, in case one spin would give us 0 points. That way we'll at least get some points... And if one of the spins would be 50, we'd probably win anyway, no matter if it's two spins or one...

~ Giulia ~ | 1239 comments For Jaguane, who can't see the spreadsheet:

In the current board (board #2) you have
A - Clockwork Angel
T - Thunderhead
(You can post the reviews for the 2 books above)

and on board #4
A - Sky in the Deep

Jaguane | 112 comments Sorry guys been kind of busy but thats fine. I am still reading thunder head an I haven’t started sky in the deep yet

message 140: by Jaguane (new)

Jaguane | 112 comments Gridgirl its alright ahaha the team has been a big help especially Giulia who has done a awesome job keeping me updated... I have a visual impairment an my accessibility software goofs up the spread sheet.

message 141: by GridGirl (new)

GridGirl | 622 comments Oh, I understand now. If you need help with anything, let us know :)

message 142: by Gabi (new)

Gabi | 563 comments I'm completely cool with how you moved stuff around, GridGirl! I much prefer to be able to read a book for Board 2 than Board 4, which might take a little while to get to.

And Jaguane, if Giulia's ever busy just let us know if you want an update on the spreadsheet and we'll let you know ;)

message 143: by Jaguane (new)

Jaguane | 112 comments Thanks guys, an I am expecting to be finished with thunderhead this weekend and then I’ll get those reviews posted

message 144: by Mara (new)

Mara (mara97) | 468 comments I will drop these two here for now as there is no space on the boards, but I will start these tomorrow and most likely finish them the same day (heck yes to travelling). I'm fine with moving things around, but I don't like kicking off other people's planned book without consent.

AUG 17:
The Horse and His Boy - C. S. Lewis
Dragon's Green - Scarlett Thomas

@Mara Can I move The Silver Chair (Chronicles of Narnia, #4) by C.S. Lewis to letter 'T' in board 2 and move Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe, #2) by Neal Shusterman (reader @Jaguane) to board 3. So we can finish the 2nd board.
