Jessica Hernandez (kittindear) When I was about 10 or 11, my mom picked up some books from a yard sale. I remember they were solid colored borders, with a artistic depiction of the tale within on the cover. One was yellow, one was blue and I want to say the other one was green. Seeing as they were picked up at a yard sale, I want to say they're probably from the 80's or 90's.

If I'm remembering correctly, the yellow one told a story of a boy who was on vacation when his family gets attacked by fish people (I think, I'm also thinking shark but I think I'm just thinking of Deep Trouble by R. L. Stine.) I'm pretty sure the boys name is Billy, but I could be wrong. As the climax of the story comes about, its cut off abruptly, as fatal blows would land on our hero and a director yells cut and you come to discover (PLOT TWIST) its been a movie all along. That's one of them.

Another story told the tale of a girl who went out to her wood pile to get more wood and something in the wood pile bit her and she slowly starts turning into a tree. I know, that sounds like an easy google search, but alas, I've come up with nothing. I don't remember anything but the log pile and the tree transformation. I'm pretty sure they're from the same series so if I find one, I've found them all.

I can't think of anything for the last one. Aside from I know it had a blue cover, I'm at a loss. I think there was something about a spirit...? I don't know. I know, this one probably doesn't help at all. I'm sorry.

I can picture the covers in my head as clear as day, just the title/author name is blurr. Can anyone help me? Does anyone know of these kids/YA books? They would've been along the lines of Goosebumps and something like Spooksville, they were just under a different author's name.

Please help!! Thanks!
