How was the water park? I hope you had fun! What will you be reading, Trinity?

The water park was fabulous! Although my brother's girlfriend and I hated the drops on a lot of the rides. We were both nervous for every ride we went on because the drops were horrendous! But other than that, it was a blast :) I will start off with The Fault in Our Stars.
Ooh I loved that book! Have you already seen the movie?
I wish I could read the Fault in Our Stars for the first time again its amazing!
Pauline, I totally agree with you! I thought the movie was very well done, too.
Yes and I am glad I watched it at home because I was balling my eyes out, loudly. I hope the book is as good as the movie!
I read the book 2 summers ago and it was as good if not better!
The movie was great but the book was definitely better! (In my opinion)
I was so excited of watching the movie I watched it in super bad quality with my boyfriend and his brother I tried to contain my tears and couldn't it was amazing! The book yes was much better but seeing the story on screen it made the story better too...
Just finished Fangirl. Moving on to Hollow City now!Jessica, I don't know if you'll like Fangirl then. You were right. There's some open-endedness. I actually liked it that way though. It makes a seem more realistic because of course life is like that. The main plot flows really well and the overall story does tie up nicely.
That's good to hear. I'm about half way done and I like it but I definitely don't love it. I think I'm going to read a short story before midnight and then try to push through the second half of Fangirl before bed.
I ended up reading a book I have to read for school instead. My head is hurting now. Man, I really hate reading books for school. I'm going to take a break and then push through some more.
I exceeded my goal getting to page 300 in
. I got to page 385. I will try to finish it on Sunday. I have only 168 pages to go. I can't wait to watch the movie!

How did everyone do the first 24 hours?I'm pretty happy with how I did. I changed my plans a little bit but I read a lot so I'm satisfied. :)
I think it went pretty well too. This was my first readathon and so far, it's been really fun.

Hi, guys. How are you doing so far?First day was a meh-day for me, I didn't have much time for rading :( But I finished one book, The Giver.
Also, guys, I have a question. I am reading Wonder now and I am not sure whether it is First In Series or Standalone book since there is The Julian Chapter: A Wonder Story, some sort of 1.5. I am very confused, thanks for the help :)
Meimei, Wonder would be considered a standalone. If you read that 1.5 it is considered a novella to the book.

Ahaha, I'm failing! I've been feeling off today and haven't read much. Fingers crossed I'm not getting a cold! It feels like it. Anyway, I hope I can focus on reading soon
Morning everyone! :o)I was happy with my first day of the read-a-thon. I got two books read and one about 2/3 read on day one. I will finish that one shortly and plan to read either one or two more, depending on how things go today in other regards. I have church and also I have some lessons to finish for tomorrow. But hoping to add three books today.

I know what you mean. Life gets in the way, you gotta go to work, and people want to do things with you.
Yeah, such a pain though.. all the time I was at work I was just like 'all I want to do is read!!' haha
Katie, I have that same problem! I often read a couple paragraphs here and there during 6 minute passing periods, but students come in and out and (especially at the beginning of the school year), so I always greet them and say good-bye, etc. Sometimes I can read during my 30 minute lunch and other times it's too difficult, but I try taking advantage every minute. Then I have these grandiose plans to come home and read an entire book, but I come home and die! LOL This first week (last week) kicked my butt! I only really read on Friday. I HATE that!! My job is ruining my [reading] life!!! Money is overrated!! LOL
Ah no, that sucks :( I usually have a lot more free time than I've had this weekend.. and I know what you mean about the grandiose plans- I had planned to read loads after work yesterday but by the time I got home I really wasn't in the mood haha
I am starting now and hoping that you are joining me!

I'm going to try to finish a (short) book today, but unfortunately won't be able to read as much as I hoped. That's what I get for procrastinating! And staying up until 4 in the morning... I have to pack for vacation this week; leaving tomorrow and I haven't packed a thing! Oops.

I've been doing some reading sprints so that's helped a lot :) Hopefully I'll be able to get a lot of reading in tomorrow as I don't have to be anywhere!

"Oh nice, I can imagine those helping, since they are often short, which means you can just take a break from things and read. Add to that the motivation you get from doing them. :)
