Set in France and translated from French.

The title attracted me.
On 7/11/18, I was despairing that I'd never find another good book. I was wrong.

I'm glad that I didn't give up searching. It's hard to find a book that doesn't center around crime or murder. It pays to keep on searching!

I loved this book and read it in one afternoon (7/11/18)!

I can't say enough good things about this book! It's one of the best I've ever read.

I didn't know much about it before I read it and I'm glad I didn't. It was that much more of a gift.

I'm going to look for more books by this author. He seems very clever and droll.

I said the same in my review at: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Nina | 6069 comments Joy, I had forgotten that I'd read that book until I saw your review. I agree with you. It was an excellent read. I'll look up some titles of books I've read that seemed similar to it.

Definitely adding this to my list - your comments on thinking you'd never find another good book - got to me. Same with movies and tv shows.

I enjoy a good mystery and detective story. Logic and process, putting the pieces together. However, many a movie and television show seem to try to outdo the last story and add more violence and horrific situations. So, I turn to Hallmark shows and endure some of the corny stuff just to watch something non-violent and heart-warming.

Where do we sign up to tell authors, producers - some of us (wonder what percentage) would like non-violent books, shows, movies?
