1950/1960s possible children's series, taught things like ABCs and manners

A collection of hardcover books that I read at my grandma'/ house as a kid. They're all bound in that rough clothlike hardcover stuff of the time. I believe red if not red and white. Non fiction collection. Taught things like abcs and manners. Fun with dick and Jane type illustrations. Any suggestions are helpful
