Rather than putting dates for each section I've done it so that it takes into account that not everybody will necessarily have the book at the same time.

Hey kerry, glad you're joining us :)
Because we got the thread a little bit late, i commented some stuff about this one on the thread for the previous book, so I'm just gonna copy and paste here ;)

I just started the next book a few minutes ago (finished my last audiobook and didn't want to start another one inbetween) and (view spoiler)[we immediately get to meet soneji again. I'm only a few pages in so far, but it's so interesting to be in his mind again! (hide spoiler)]
I think we'll get the thread for book 4 on july 1st :)

Around 35% (listening on audio, so I'm not too sure), the scene in the house with the green walls (view spoiler)[is the creepiest thing I've read in a long time. Especially when it said "he decided to crawl on his hands and knees", i don't know why, but that creeped me out so much!

And a little while before this happened, the scene with the decapitated dog and woman, that was just plain disturbing and disgusting. (hide spoiler)]

I finished the book a while ago and it was an interesting change from the other books
(view spoiler)[i liked that we didn't have Alex's perspective for a while, but got Sampson's instead. I also found it interesting that we were introduced to mr smith as a cop/side character first, before discovering who he really was. The fact that the victims' initials spelled out a sentence was a clever idea! (hide spoiler)]

wow already staring book #4 actually read book #3 in 1 night.
Not sure whether to trust Thomas pierce or kyle Craig. glad Soneiji got his in end
hope every one OK after the attack. but don't think soneiji did it it was someone else

" Easter egg" maybe in book #4

I am not almost halfway done with this book. Here are some thoughts so far. I think book starts where it will end. As I have not finished the book yet, I am not entirely sure, but that is what it seems like. It would make sense.

(view spoiler)[ Soneji is leading Alex in a circle, back to his own house to kill him. Soneji is one of those people who drives you crazy and he knows exactly how to get to Alex. He is a stalker and he enjoys the fear he can instill in people that he targets. He enjoys mind games, which includes the cat, Rosie. He gave the cat to Alex's family as a clue, to say that he is the cat and Alex is the mouse. Soneji wants Alex to think about him and chase him.

So far this book is only focusing on one killer, even though a second on, Smith, was mentioned. There is not a lot of information on Smith yet. But the way it is described draws you in. You want to know about this and know that Alex is going to be involved somehow and you just wait for it. But the game with Soneji is interesting . (hide spoiler)]

Coming up to home stretch. I would say by next week I will be finished. Starting book #5

I just finished. I think it was interesting (view spoiler)[ the game of cat and mouse and can be directed to both of the killers in this book. There were referenced to Soneji but it was stated as to Mr. Smith. Not I see where the references to Mr. Smith were going because he is more the second half of the book. He thought that he was better than everyone. I was a little surprised that he did not try to kill Alex, but instead challenged him. (hide spoiler)]

I will get back to names in sentence when I get home from work and its complicated on the phone. As for book 5, I have one other book to read this week and I need to get it from the library. I just put it on hold and i should have by this weekend.

Kerry sorry I didn't get back yesterday. I got home from work and everything later than expected and just ran out of the time.
(view spoiler)[ Instead of having a profile like most serial killers, Smith was different. I think Pierce was right, in that Pierce died the night he killed Isabell and he created a new identity, which was Smith. He killed relating back to when Smith was "born." Smith was basically the opposite of Pierce. One doctor one is law and killer and loner. Plus, he thought that he was unstopped and I think it was another way of messing with the police as they could not figure out that pattern. It was just another way to keep up the new identity and relate it back to the moment of creation. Isabell was the key to everything just as she was everything to Pierce. (hide spoiler)]
