I suggest drinking lots of water, and resting... also try taking some medicine, go to your local drug store and pick up some runny nose relief medicine. Hope that helps at all. :-)

Caleb (caleb27) Hydrate is key. Tea can help if you're one of those crazy people. Going outside can be good to clear your sinuses, but it could also be bad if you have a fever, so that's situational.

Cloé | 286 comments Thanks guys, I have water on standby and I’m going to pick up some herbal tea when I get the chance.

One of those crazy people - I'm insulted

also i have a strange question. So someone told me that Americans don't have kettles and just heat water up in the microwave?!!?!? Is this true because if it is then i truly have no words...

message 8259: by Alabaster (new)

Alabaster I. . . no. That's not true at all. My skin crawls just thinking of that

message 8260: by Alabaster (new)

Alabaster Everybody knows we just light a fire and boil it ourselves

message 8261: by Cloé (new)

Cloé | 286 comments So you ... don’t have kettles?

iamaunicornwithyellowfeet (bookobsessedblob) | 153 comments I HEARD ABOUT THE KETTLE THING AND WAS SO CONFUSED IS IT TRUE

message 8263: by Alabaster (new)

Alabaster No lol. We do have kettles. I use them all the time to make tea and hot chocolate

message 8264: by Sirens (new)

Sirens Kai (kairabooknerdandproud) | 459 comments What does the kettle look like though? Is it electric?

message 8265: by Sirens (new)

Sirens Kai (kairabooknerdandproud) | 459 comments I heard somewhere that in America there’s no electric kettles lol and also no blackcurrant juice for some reason

message 8266: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Yes, we have kettles. There might be electric ones, I don't know, but the one that I have we just heat up on the stove. Some people do heat it up in the microwave, I don't know how, but I haven't. I haven't heard of blackcurrant juice before I think, but I'm sure it's somewhere. You can usually find just about anything somewhere here.

message 8267: by Sirens (new)

Sirens Kai (kairabooknerdandproud) | 459 comments The kettles we have you plug it in to a wall to heat up the water

message 8268: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Nope, don't have that kind. Some people might, but we don't

message 8269: by Alabaster (new)

Alabaster That's the type i've got.

iamaunicornwithyellowfeet (bookobsessedblob) | 153 comments I just remembered we don’t even own a kettle anymore because we have boiling water from our tap *im so stupid*

message 8271: by layla (new)

layla Okay thank god. Kettles are essential, whether you drink tea or not (and I'm not just saying this because I'm British haha)

message 8272: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) I've only ever used our kettle like 5 times in my life. Most of the time when I need to boil water I just do it in a pot.
You have boiling water from your tap?
Also, yeah, tea isn't very good. My culinary teacher just had us work with it and I hated it as always. It's either tasteless too-hot water, or foul too-hot water. But I'll respect that other people like it regardless.

message 8273: by Alabaster (new)

Alabaster The only two types I like are either a strong berry, or something caffeinated. But yeah it's incredibly hit or miss.

message 8274: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) I just like milk tea, that's it

message 8275: by Sirens (new)

Sirens Kai (kairabooknerdandproud) | 459 comments I like tea and coffee with a lot of milk and sugar

message 8276: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Coffee is even worse than tea. I just drink water, and every once and a while I'll have soda or juice.

message 8277: by Cloé (new)

Cloé | 286 comments Don’t you dare diss coffee 😑
I bought a milk frother the other day just to fuel my addiction all the more

message 8278: by [deleted user] (new)

DAMN THIS CHAT GOT LOOONG

message 8279: by [deleted user] (new)

message 8280: by [deleted user] (new)

too many missed calls too many textsss

message 8281: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) We have a frother too, but I never use it. Like I said, feel free to poison your body with coffee, I just won't have it myself.

message 8282: by [deleted user] (new)

LOL a frother sounds like a fairy father

message 8283: by [deleted user] (new)

for a ferry mother? which doesnt make sense bc i made that up

message 8284: by [deleted user] (new)

im super bored

message 8285: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) It really does though

message 8286: by [deleted user] (new)

i looked up what that is and i have never been so way off

message 8287: by [deleted user] (new)

like milk bubbles

message 8288: by [deleted user] (new)

i would kill for some fries rn

message 8289: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Yeah. It's basically just the foam you get on hot drinks sometimes.

message 8290: by [deleted user] (new)

why not just use whip cream??? kinda a waste tbh

message 8291: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Fries would be good. I kind of want to get some actually but I have to watch a chem documentary in class rn. People want to think that they're drinking something that's somewhat healthy?

message 8292: by Alabaster (new)

Alabaster Caleb why would you diss coffee? Like 2 or 3 cups of straight black coffee in the morning is the only thing that keeps me awake :)

message 8293: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 08, 2021 11:10AM) (new)

Coffee gets me me too hyper 😂

message 8294: by [deleted user] (new)

I go crazy

message 8295: by [deleted user] (new)

More than usual

message 8296: by Caleb (last edited Apr 08, 2021 11:13AM) (new)

Caleb (caleb27) That doesn't mean that you like it, just that you like what it does for you. Besides, every time that I try to have something high in caffeine, I get a headache.

iamaunicornwithyellowfeet (bookobsessedblob) | 153 comments I hate coffee, and tea is meh

message 8298: by [deleted user] (new)

"I like what it does for me" sounds like drugs 😂😂

message 8299: by [deleted user] (new)

I get headaches too but after usually the hype

message 8300: by [deleted user] (new)
