I'll do what I planned on in the first place, take one of the guys with me and try and find a cabin or something to hole up in," Hailey replied with a nod of her head, her hand moving up and down Nicks arm lazily.

Nick nodded slightly. He bit his lip. “Didn’t the girl you brought mention a place?” He asked softly, unsure if he heard or was remembering correctly or not. A lot of it was a bit fuzzy to him. He bit his lip and stayed close to her.

"Yeah she did, I don't know if I wanna use it. I trust Brandie, but I'm just sure if I trust her that much if you know what I mean," Hailey replied, shrugging her shoulders a bit,"At the end of the day, it's up to you if you wanna try that place out. She did mention it for the winter though."

Nick nodded slightly. “That’s a tough one really...” He said faintly. “I didn’t meet her really so I don’t know about trust. But we should check it out I think. She said it wasn’t used. And ace seems okay with her..” nick listed out, trying to think more about it.

"Yeah Ace liked her. And I'm sure she's a lovely, trustworthy girl, she was really nice and helpful. I'm just wary of strangers, you know that," Hailey replied, looking at him,"Anyways we can think more about it tomorrow. We should get some rest now, it's late."

“I’m wary of them too. But we could scope the place out. At least see where it is and what’s around..” nick told her. “I’m gonna try and stay up for a bit. “You can go ahead and get some rest.” He offered, looking st her.

Hailey nodded at his words and then furrowed her eyebrows a bit.
"You're not sleepy?" she asked, She would have thought he would still be, though she understood his desire to not sleep yet, he had been sleeping pretty much all day after all.

“I am but everything is so fuzzy. I’m missing chunks and I can’t really figure out what’s going on anymore..” nick admitted. “I’ve gotta stay up and get it back together if I can..” He Mumbled, biting his lip. He sat up slightly and grabbed his Gatorade.

Hailey listened to his words and nodded her head.
"Alright, well I'm pretty tired so I'll go to bed first. Make sure you don't stay up too late though, alright? Rest is very important for you to get better after all," she replied to him.

“I’m not gonna make it being up for much longer...” nick reassured in a Mumble. He opened the Gatorade slowly and drank a bit of it. He closed it and set it down before settling back down Beside Hailey.

“I’ll take first watch.” Ace said, seeing them both laying down. “Both of you should get some rest..”

Hailey looked over her shoulder when someone spoke, offering a small smile to Ace.
"Thanks Ace. Wake me up for the second shift, okay?" she said to him before turning back around. She adjusted herself into a more comfy position, not moving away from Nick but also not really snuggling with him either.

Ace nodded and let them be, staying away from Hunt since he was upset for who knows what.

Nick watched Hailey for a moment. “Goodnight..” He mumbled softly to her. He didn’t try and move closer to her, just happy that she was nearby. He closed his eyes and relaxed a bit, thinking about what all he remembered clearly.

The next morning, the earliest one awake was Hailey, she was letting everyone sleep in a little longer than normal. She was sitting up in one of the trees, swinging her her legs back and forth as she concentrated on moving a pebble that was below her. So far, it wasn't working, which was really irritating. Last night when Ace tried to wake her, it startled her so she accidentally chucked a piece of wood at him with her powers. He dodged it of course so he wasn't hurt, but it was frustrating that the only thing she seemed to be able to use it was when she didn't mean to. Now when she was actually trying, well, she couldn't.

Nick woke up next. He opened his eyes and immediately noticed that Hailey wasn’t next to him, her warmth missing. Which sucked because he still felt really cold despite his fever. He groggily looked around for her and spotted her in the tree. He didn’t get up, instead just watching her from there for a moment.

Hailey had a very intense look on her face as she was trying to move it, even breaking a bit of a sweat. She gave up and few moments later though, blowing out a puff of air and pouting a bit. It was annoying. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked away from the stupid pebble was wasn't able to move, eyes scanning the woods for anything out of the ordinary. Now wasn't the time to be worrying about her powers. Unless, you know, she continues throwing things at innocent bystanders.

Nick couldn’t help but smile a bit st how she crossed her arms and was pretty much pouting. He knew she was probably frustrated at something but he didn’t have the energy to fly up there and find out why yet. He slowly forced himself to sit up and then attempt to stand up, biting his lip.

Hailey was still looking around the woods when she realized that Nick was awake now. Looking over at him, her eyes widened when she noticed he was trying to stand.
"Nick! Don't force yourself, let me at least help you," she said, moving to jump out of the tree so she could go over there. However when she got out of the tree, she didn't fall down. She hovered there, like if she was flying. But her wings were tucked in. She noticed it after a moment and she looked around, seeing that she was practically levitating in the air.

(( I figured her levitating would kinda go with her being able to move objects, kinda similar concept (: ))

Nick was a bit dizzy at trying to stand but he got to his feet, balancing mainly on his uninjured leg. He heard Hailey talk and looked over, raising an eyebrow. “Your powers developed quickly.” He commented softly. He opened his wings to help steady himself, not wanting to put weight on his leg. It was still pretty painful, even more so without him taking meds.

(That’s good with me. :) do you think that nick’s should extend like that to where he can make things seem like they’ve disappeared too?)

Hailey blinked when she realized what she was doing, internally freaking out. What the fuck was going one!? Of course, freaking out like that made her loose it and she fell to the ground, thankfully it wasn't a huge fall, but it still hurt.
"Ow...well I never asked for these stupid powers anyways," she grumbled as she got up, rubbing at her butt since she had landed on it,"They never work when I want them too, only when they want to succeed in being a pain in my ass."

Nick bit his lip and slowly limped over to her, grimacing a bit. “I know. But you’ll get there. They’ll be out of control for a bit but you’ll learn and figure them out.” He reassured her gently. “You Alright?” He asked, looking her over to make sure she wasn’t any more hurt. He wanted to get them moving, even though he was still a bit feverish and couldn’t walk.

Hailey grimaced the pain started fading away, nodding at Nick's question.
"Yeah I'm fine," she grumbled, in a bit of a sour mood. Sighing, she stood up straighter and motioned to him."What about you? How are you feeling? Better? Worse?"

Nick nodded, shifting and just standing on one leg, completely favoring the other one. “I think I’m okay. I’m cold, a bit tired, leg hurts like hell. But I’ll be alright..” he assured her gently. “I can fly. So we can head out today...” he offered quietly.

"Alright. I'll still take one of the guys out with me first hand to check out the place that Brandie had mentioned first before everyone goes there. And then we can go there if it's safe?" Hailey suggested with a raise of her eyebrows. She was thinking of taking Ace, though she hoped he wasn't angry at her for mentally tossing a piece of wood at him last night. She also noticed that him and Hunt weren't sleeping next to one another, instead on opposite sides of the fire pit, which was very odd, and she wanted to talk to one of them about it, figure out what was up.

“Alright. That works..” nick nodded slightly. “Do I need to check your shoulder?” He offered softly, looking st her as he stretched his wings. They were a bit sore after being closed up and laid on so much. He limped his way back to their spot and sat down, unable to bear any weight on his leg for any longer.

"Only if I can clean your leg for you," Hailey said with a smile, since that was fair, right? She followed him back over to the spot they had slept, sitting down in front of him. Last night she had ended up snuggling with him and she had to wonder if he was still awake when it happened or if she had done it after he had fallen asleep.

Nick nodded. “Okay your shoulder first though..” he told her softly. He grabbed the medicine and the stuff they needed to use to clean it along with some fresh bandages. He waited for her to turn so he could look at the wound.
He’d been awake last night when she ended up snuggled with him again, just putting his arms around her and letting her sleep. He wasn’t sure about what exactly to do with their sudden affection but it was okay. They made it work.

Hailey agreed to this and turned around, moving her hair out of the way. Like yesterday, she had to take her shirt halfway off cause she still wasn't wearing a tank top and she waited for Nick to check it out for her and clean it. She wasn't quite sure where the two of them stood either, though she knew that yesterday night she had really wanted to kiss him. And he mentioned that he would, if the circumstances were different and he wasn't sick. Was he just saying that...or did he actually want to kiss her as well?

Nick looked over the wound and gently cleaned it up for her.
“It’s looking better.” He reassured faintly. He spent a bit of time cleaning it up before putting on a fresh bandage. He tried not to think too much about last night. Yes, he’d wanted to kiss her and he still did but he just didn’t know when it would be right, having no clue when that would be. He wanted to feel better first, wanting her not worrying so much. Nick bit his lip lightly. “There. You’re all done..” he said gently.

Hailey sat still there as he cleaned it for her, it only hurting a little bit, but not too bad at all. She waited until he was finished before nodding and putting her shirt all the way back on.
"Thanks," she said, grabbing the pill bottle and opening it up, giving one to Nick and keeping one for herself, which she dry swallowed easily,"Take that while I look at your leg." She rolled up his pants and started undoing the bandage.

Nick nodded slightly. He took the pill from her and swallowed easily. He reached for his bag to grab some pain meds, feeling Pretty miserable. He watched as she unwrapped his leg. It still was a bit infected but not nearly as bad as it looked the day before.

Hailey looked at the leg quickly, seeing it already appeared to be getting better. Which was good. She supposed going to get someone who actually knew what they were doing better paid off. Carefully, he started to clean it how Brandie had instructed her to, putting some ointment she got from her on it as well, but she didn't wrap it up just yet.
"Brandie said to let it get some air for a bit each time after we unwrap it. So we can leave it like that for about half an hour or so," she said.

Nick bit his lip and watched as she cleaned it out. “Okay.. then we’re gonna go. Or you’re gonna go do some looking for a place or something..” He told her softly. “Okay?” He asked faintly, wanting to make sure she agreed with his plan.

"Yeah I'm gonna wait for one of the guys to get their butt up and take them with me, find a place and then we'll come back for you guys," Hailey replied with a nod, running her fingers through her hair. It was getting quite oily at the top, she was in need of a shower. But it wasn't something they could get easily at the moment.

“Okay.” Nick nodded slightly. “Please be careful out there,” he told her faintly, staying sitting up beside her. He glanced around, yawning softly. He picked his Gatorade up again and drank a bit more of it, knowing he at least needed to stay hydrated.

"Yeah, always," Hailey replied with a chuckle, standing up straight,"I'm gonna go put on some new clothes. Be back." She grabbed her backpack and went behind a tree so she was hidden, changing her clothes quickly.

Nick nodded. He laid back down after She went to change. He stayed awake but was just trying to take it easy, hoping it would make his leg heal faster.

Ace started waking up, yawning and opening his eyes. He glanced around and sat up, seeing only nick was awake and that Hailey wasn’t there. He didn’t comment on it though, guessing that Hailey wouldn’t have gone far.

Hailey changed quickly, just into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, along with her jacket. Putting her hair up into a quick high bun and combing through her bangs as much as possible and she was ready to go. Coming back into the clearing, she noticed Ace was awake and nodded to him.
"Mornin. You up for some cabin hunting with me today? After breakfast of course" she asked.

Nick glanced her over when she came back. He yawned and sat back up, not saying anything.

Ace nodded. “Sure. You wanna head out soon?” He offered, stretching before moving and getting up. He knew nick was anxious to get going so he wanted to help Hailey. And he didn’t really want to deal with the weirdness Between him and Hunt.

"Yep, just get some food in you and we can hit the road," Hailey replied with a nod, moving over to where the children were sleeping so she could wake them up. It wasn't hard, neither of them were very heavily sleepers. There wasn't anything spectacular planned for breakfast anyways, so she instead just gave them, and Ace, 2 granola bars and an apple. She had managed to pick up a bag of them when they went into town.

Ace nodded. He thanked her for the food and downed it pretty quickly. He talked a bit with nick quietly, just checking on him. It was good to see that he was awake and looked a lot better.

The younger kids didn’t mind being woken by Hailey, even if they were a bit sleepy at first. Cass thanked her for giving them breakfast, staying laying down for a bit.

Hailey just busied herself pretty much with what she use to do when she was the leader, giving everyone food and making enough noise that she was waking the others up without actually, you know, going over and shaking them. As they woke up, she gave them food, still not meeting Faye's eyes as she gave her hers. The drama yesterday was still in her mind and, when she had been the leader, she would have pushed it away quick. But now she really didn't have an obligation to.

"Thanks Hailey," Zar said once her food had been handed to her and Hailey went back over to where Nick and Ace were.

Cass stayed laying down for a bit.
Faye woke up around when Zar did. She left Hailey alone, not going to speak or cause a fight or any sort of additional tension between them. It wasn’t important.

Ace looked up at Hailey when she came back over. “Okay. Give your boyfriend a hug and then we can go.” He told her with a smile. He stood up and stretched, waiting on her.

Nick rolled his eyes at ace. “be safe out there you two..”

"We will, we'll be back before noon. In about 20 minutes get Zar to help you rewrap that," she said, motioning to his wound. She motioned for Ace to take off and after he had, she went up as well.

“Ow!” Ace glared at her. He waited before jumping up and opening his wings, flying up a bit into the sky. He glanced at Hailey. “So where to?”

Nick nodded. “Okay. I will.” He assured. He smiled gently st her and watched her take off. He stayed with the others quietly.

"I figure we go the way that we were headed, that's where a lot of them would be at I'm guessing. Plus the one Brandie had mentioned to us," she replied.

“Okay.” He nodded. “I’ll follow your lead.” He assured her. “Are you and nick doing okay? He’s looking better..” he asked as they flew together, staying nearly side by side since it was a bit easier to look around and keep watch then.
