Quick Summary

Both quaffles in pieces. Hopefully not oozing disgustingness (thanks again, Kirsten for that image!)

Hufflepuffs 8 goals
Ravenclaws 6 goals

Everything to play for still!

I even wrote that down, then dozily forgot to include it!

Though of course, Sonia's changing the scoring now, so who knows what we'll end up on!

My head is SO frazzled by what's going on right now! How's your team benches - I didn't see Lucy yesterday?

I am far from the best!
that's why I'm doing the periodic checks of goals scored, so I don't get too far adrift of reality...

Seeker Sophie has spotted not one but two snitches. She's currently circling in mid-air looking confused while she decides which one to go for. The rest of the team hope she figures it out soon!

yup! she found both, yesterday morning. possibly before I woke. something about passing the time whilst doing childcare? apparently it was finding the Gryff/Slyth snitch that gave her the oomph to carry on...

madness, whatever! but that's the Hufflepuff way!

Big cheers of welcome for our debut rider: Beater Sandy!

Sandy's being thrown to the lions, up against Killer Kate on her first outing: that's not a rider I'd want to face off against!

Sandy's reading No Place to Run to defend Danielle

message 372: by Deanna (new)

Deanna | 3529 comments Fresh off the announcer bench, Ravenclaw's new beater Deanna also joins the fray targeting Katie. (thereby sparing the crowds from any more ka- alliteration ;P)

Deanna is reading No Place to Die @ 340 pgs

For that matter, neither can Suzannka

I don't know about anyone else, but I am on tenterhooks here!

Will Kate or Keanna knock a chaser off before they can score?
Can the Huffle Beaters save them before Kirsten gets the quaffle?
Can kaTalia get the Ravenclaw quaffle or will they make goal 7?
Can Cat stop with the ka-ing?!

Stay tuned....

Fine effort all :)

message 384: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Wow - every one of these goals or not goals have been within minutes - my heart is beating so fast - and its not even because of the 10000 sex scenes in this book!

message 385: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Hufflepuff Chaser Marie is back! And she's going to spell (see what I did there) Katie and Danielle by reading a solo chain!
Marie will read The Good Daughter (656 pages)

message 386: by Deanna (new)

Deanna | 3529 comments Ravenclaw beater Deanna takes her first swing at a bludger. It's heading straight for Katie who tries to dodge. It barely clipped her, but she appears to have momentarily lost control of her broom.

Katie read No Place to Run @ 332 pgs
Deanna finished reading No Place to Die @ 340 pgs

message 387: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments After a cold shower, Hufflepuff beater Suzanne barely manages to deflect the bludger and get Katie back in the game.

Suzanne read No Place to Run to defend Katie.

message 388: by Deanna (new)

Deanna | 3529 comments Chasers Emily and Nicole near the Hufflepuff hoops rapidly passing the quaffle back and forth in an attempt to confuse Talia... Quaffle away! Just beyond the fingertips of the Hufflepuff keeper and through the right hoop! Score! Hufflepuff 90 Ravenclaw 70! This game could go either way!

Nicole and Emily finished reading All Fired Up.

Kirsten (kielianne) | 940 comments Suzanne wrote: "Wow - every one of these goals or not goals have been within minutes - my heart is beating so fast - and its not even because of the 10000 sex scenes in this book!"

I have read more sex scenes in books during this match than I have in the rest of my reading career combined. lol

message 390: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Hufflepuff Beater SandyL bravely defends Danielle

The bludger hit by Kate at Danielle was moving at almost light-speed, but Sandy managed to deflect it enough that Danielle is saved!

SandyL finished No Place to Run by Maya Banks

message 391: by Deanna (last edited Jun 06, 2018 11:48AM) (new)

Deanna | 3529 comments Keeper Kirsten can't be caught catnapping. Kirsten creams the quaffle catapulting it completely clear of the Quidditch court!

Kirsten has finished reading Forsaken by Night to break the quaffle.

message 394: by Suzanne (new)

You'll be happy to know the same thing is happening in the other match as well. There is a particular hooker-alien-dragonshifter-book that has severely traumatized several on the Gryffindor team to date.

message 396: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Lol Teddie - I am very happy to know that.

message 397: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments But what could go wrong with a book about a hooker-alien-dragonshifter! Sounds like literary gold!

message 398: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 5417 comments Hufflepuff Danielle used her most powerful mending spell and fixed the Quaffle F that Kirsten smashed.

U: Until Sage - Danielle - 29 May
A: The Accidental Vampire - Katie, 29 May
F: Fatal Scandal- Danielle, 6 Jun

L: Late in the Day - Katie, 29 May
E: Easy Melody - Katie, 1 Jun
