As I was typing, I realized that maybe it was my audiobook app that was too limited, so, I went to play store to check. Who knows, maybe it will work.

Okay... so... got a new player... tried the 2X, the 1.5X and I think for Dresden, 1.3X seems to be the golden.

It is. I do prefer the normal cadence of his voice, but I *Really* want to finish the 500+ brown cover. I should have done it ages ago but RL got in the way...

Yes!! Absolutely. They get better with every book. More plot, more convoluted, more character development and just more everything. :-)
