Numbers Game - Jessica 6/2/18 - Slytherin Quaffle A

I think the Slytherin team might need to go see Madam Pomfrey for a little tonic while their Quaffle is getting repaired. Jessica’s attack on your seems to have rattled your brains a bit, ;)

And why do you Squawk instead of Roar like the lions you are. Is Erol around somewhere flapping himself silly?

Ha! That’s a Gryffindor joke because Eni accidentally named our Team Roster thread the team Rooster thread. ;)

And you guys can keep the Basilisk away!!

Teddie defended Shannon. Shannon is safe and back in the game.

*ahem*
I should have posted this earlier, my bad.
This goal shouldn't count since your chaser was successfully attacked, which effectively broke the chain and threw the chaser out of the game for one score.
Your beater then defended her so she could join back in the fray, but the chain should remain broken and a new one should be started instead of the old one being finished.

Hi. That’s how we had interpreted it as well at the beginning of the game, but if you look in the Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw game, that is how they are playing as Sonia said:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Once a chaser is knocked out, it stays out, till she's defended, or a chain of 1 or 2 is made. If you want to finish first chain, you need to wait for your beater to do the defense, otherwise the chain is void.
There was even some discussion in the Captains Group, but she’s confirmed.
For the love of books, don’t change how we (R/H) are playing our game! We seem to have got to grips with it, and I really can’t deal with unpicking it all now!
Has it really been less than a week since it started? (No, don’t tell me it’s only been three days or whatever, I couldn’t take it!)

Ha! Not changing how you guys are playing, changing how we are playing ours to match you guys. Y’alls game is much more fluid and active, and frankly not as disheartening. ;)
That wasn't how I interpreted another reply, also given in the captains' group.
But we'll bow to the voice of the mod of course :-)
It might be a very good idea though to use these two matches as a sample for scenarios of "what to do and what not to do" for the second set of matches ;-)

I think that was also me, as it really wasn’t how I interpreted it. But she confirmed.
But if look at the other game thread, it really does look more fun and active. Bludgers and Quaffles and Beaters and Chasers and Keepers are all flying around at breakneck speed.
Breakneck is the word! We’re not entirely loving it, as we’ve never read so fast! Slowing it down some would be fine!
But we don’t have the Aus timezone factor, for which I’m grateful!

But we don’t have the Aus timezone factor, for which I’m grateful!"
Lol! Well it also allows for more flexibility in your players and their schedules and any major time zone issues. Which has effected the play in this game. So while faster, and maybe more exhausting, it does give teams more options.
ETA: Coordinating between the States and Aus has added a fair bit of fun to the game. I’m pretty much main lining coffee at this point. ;)

Unless Slytherin's beaters can read the book and get her back in the game is my understanding...
And I think she's only out for this chain which is null since the QUAFFLE is broken...
Can we please get a ruling on this from one of the Mods?

I think you need to take the Question to Questions for the Mods, as im not sure they’re steadily monitoring this thread, and I’d rather not make that call.

Does she need a beater to get her back in the game?
ETA - I just asked about this in the Ask the Mods thread so we'll see what they say...

Your Quaffle is broken, your chain is invalid

Post your QUAFFLE, then post a new chain.
