She goes home and researches the band, learns the words to all their songs, their likes and dislikes. A guy that likes her invites her to their next concert and she gets all rock-glammed up this time. Lead singer sees her in the audience and freaks out, thinking that she has played him and knew who he was all along. He's really cruel to her and takes everybody BUT her to a reception area. Turns out okay and they spend the next day or two discovering Seattle...fascinating, intimate trip up the Space Needle! I hope somebody can figure this one out!! Thanks, guys.

Only thing I've found that sounds remotely close is Rock Candy Boxed Set.

Three books.. in the first one the girl just got out of Julliard and gets a job as a backup cello player for a rock band. They do mention the Space Needle but only in passing, they tour a bit through Seattle. Small chance this might be it.
