Yes, it is.

I was looking through the KA books that I'm behind on yesterday and realized that I have a wonderful little pile of them from at least 4 of her series. BUT I've been underwhelmed by the last few (except for the Chaos MC books), so I can't get overly excited about reading them. That makes me a little sad.

Although I will say that I think that in reference to KA, it has more to do with he having a publisher for some of her books now. Something changed when she wasn't doing it ALL herself. I know that some people don't enjoy her overly descriptive writing, but I adore it. I want all of her books to be 600 pages long.

I can't wait for my youngest son's 17th birthday (7/31) because that's the day Wild Like the Wind comes out!

Jean | 1658 comments Renee, I have a nice collection of KA books too...... just haven't gone back to them.... kept buying them if they were on sale. I haven't read any of the Chaos series....

Tessa | 1761 comments Grey, I gave three stars to Tight. It was kind of boring.

Leslie | 2430 comments Nay, there are some books/authors that we will love forever! I know I will go to my grave never getting sick of and always loving Twilight. But some of my other old faves are just not my thing anymore. Its great you can still get excited over KA release. (By the way, any overly descriptive/long winded writing makes me crazy, its not specific to KA. I am too impatient for that writing style. 😉)

Awww, bummer! I thought for sure you'd love it. Maybe I was thinking Black Lies... IDK... but another one off the TBR!

I probably would have a few years ago, but the tension was never there for me.

Nay (4ukcats) Jean--have you read the Dream Man series, more specifically Motorcycle Man? Or I guess I should ask--which KA books have you read?

Leslie--I'm also positive that I'd still love Twilight! I read each of them at least 3 times, and I very rarely re-read anything.

Yay, Grey! What made you mark off the .25 star? Proofreading???

I've read 3 from the Dream Man series, 2 from Colorado Mountain series, and The Golden Dynasty.

Nay, I don't ever mark off for proofing unless it is so bad that it distracts from the book and I can't focus... there were a couple little loose ends that I would have liked to have seen tightened up and just a couple of me quirks. But... I really, really enjoyed it!

Makes sense. I can’t remember why I left it less than 5 stars.

Jean, did you enjoy Motorcycle man? If you did, I think you’ll like the Chaos series.

message 64: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Jean—I just looked at your review for MM. Tyra is in the Chaos books here and there, but I don’t think she’d get on your nerves like she did in MM, if I remember correctly.

Steph | 109 comments KA books are definitly something you have to be in the right frame of mind to read. I love the stories usually but sometimes find myself skimming. Ride Steady, Chaos #3 will always be special though because it was my first KA!

Me either. I should finish my editing today, and then I also have 2 days to read my 3 challenge books. Gah! Looks like I'm going to be searching for novellas.

If anyone knows of a novella (or even shorter book) that Maryse loved (that you think I'd enjoy), could you please suggest it?? I'd be forever grateful!

Ladies, no pressure here! If you read, great. If not... it's totally fine. Read it in July... or put it back in your rotations to maybe get picked a different month. No pressure here. We're here to have a good time. That's the great thing about us. We're rockstars!

Jean | 1658 comments Renee, have you read Hearts in Darkness (Hearts in Darkness, #1) by Laura Kaye

It's short and maryse loved it! Really good book!

message 72: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Yup, I read it. Really enjoyed it too! Any others y'all know off the tops of your head?

message 73: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) I can also look at my novella shelf and see if there are any I remember her reading. I've got 172 books on it--surely I can find one book.
