I'm reading several books at the same time at the moment haha. But the plan is to finish one today and one tomorrow. So I can dive into 2 more books this weekend ;-)
I don’t know how you read more than one at a time! I end up getting so caught up in the ‘second’ book, I forget about the first one, then go back and finish it all at once. That’s my thing I guess... to anxious to get the current book done to put it down for another.
In my case it depends what I use to read. I have one book on tablet and another on reader going on since not all of the books are same on those two. And if there is audio, that's usually third book. :PIn rare occasions (when I really really really want to read that book now) it's same book on tablet and reader :)

Ah well. Guess it’s all the same in the end, right? Books are read and enjoyed😊

I sneak e-reader or kindle-cloudreader (I may not own a kindle but I can still take advantage of free books that way haha) in at work and those are never the same books as the ones I carry around with me in paperback.
Currently, since work is slowing down a little for the summer holidays, I have The Pact that I read on the browser at work.
Then I alternate between the other two books in paperback because one of them is a BR that I'm taking slow so one of my BR buddies can keep up (she's back at uni and has too many BRs, like so many of us haha) and the other one is the current BOM which is a super fast read, even for me, so I'm taking it slow as well to stick to the schedule because I hate answering the questions after I've already moved on past the break-point in DQs.
If any of that makes any sense. I've had my head stuck in a book since I got up this morning and my brain hasn't quite arrived at work yet, so I'm rambling a little.

I know it has been said before, but I'm really wondering about the tri-wizard. I have a few things coming up in August and I'd like to read any books that are needed before that happens. If their aren't tasks that are crazy difficult, like read a book with a newt on the cover (it can't be a salamander it must be a newt), then I guess it doesn't matter. Still it would be nice to know.

I saw an announcement that said it will go until August 31st. That is a full month. I guess that means I don't have to worry about not having time to complete tasks. We will have a full month.
Finished There's Someone Inside Your House and going onto Survival of the Sickest. Hope to finish that by tonight and post a review later today!

Tower Teams will be extended to go on until 31st August. So we have another month for this challenge which will mostly focus on the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

the page number of the edition you shelved is different from the page number you mentioned in your completion post for There's Someone Inside Your House. Could you please let me know which one is the correct one and change either the shelved edition or your completion post accordingly?

I'm totally fine playing until August 31. I have no vacations planned. And I don't think I'll be away anywhere longer than a day.

So many BR points hehe. And it really, really, really makes me want to reread the Kate Daniels series! I think I might have to do that soon.
Last weekend I almost picked up the Hidden Legacy series, but then decided not to or I wouldn't manage to finish my 2 last BRs for this month and that BOM I keep stupidly putting off so I don't fall behind on BRs haha.

You should totally read the Kate Daniels, especially with the last book coming out next month! I've been enjoying the re-read even more than the 1st time around. Totally understand putting books you really want to read aside to read the BR books!
Just FYI - am also reading Gardens of the Moon for a longer Moon book BUT it's been slow going. Hoping to finish later this week! Such a complex book with so many characters & not a lot of introduction. But I am liking it (surprisingly).

I absolutely hate that publishers do this. Kindle and hardback out first and then you have to wait ages before the paperback is out.
Oh, I've heard good things about the Malazan books, but yes, apparently they're long and complex. I've had the first one sitting on my shelves for over 10 years now but I never attempted to read it.
Question for BOMs, since the game was extended, do we have longer to read I Hunt Killers? (It says July 31st on spreadsheet) It's 1 month since start date right?
My re-reads have reminded me how much I HATE Hugh so it's going to be interesting to read him as an MC... I will attempt it & try to keep an open mind but right now the hate is going strong!I had no idea they waited that long for PB editions! That's crazy!
I finally realized that I'm not a huge fan of epic fantasies but decided to try it anyways. More points :) I attempted the audio at 1st but was so confused & couldn't keep up so now am taking my time & only reading a couple pages/chpts here and there.

Really? He was an absolute BASTARD but I loved him for it :-D Okay, I often love the bad guys, if they're well done, so maybe I'm not a reference haha.
They're doing that with certain editions as well. Mercy Thompson for instance: the newer edition (they started that a few books in) is released first, and the edition I own is released about a year later.
My fave German author as a teenager has a publisher who does the same now. His books are released in hardback first. Paperback is still nowhere in sight. And I'm not paying triple just to get the book as soon as it's released. Completely insane!
Epic fantasy is a bit of a tough nut sometimes but I do enjoy it. I have my eye on The Dragonbone Chair for August. Since it's fat and from the glimpse I had into the book, it might even be a quick enough read for a fat book. But it really depends on the plot and writing. I love the Shannara books, for example, but they take me ages to read.

Is an audio book acceptable for tower challenges?
Yes, audiobooks are fine. They need to be at least 3 hours long. I've been listening to lots of audiobooks for the challenge. I think it is you use the default edition for the page number.
