Thank you, Cathy. For the last part of the challenge I'm reading Межвидовой барьер by David Quammen. The book is quite thick, I probably won't be able to finish it in time. Still, it is a fascinating read, and also the author predicted the covid pandemic
Mind of the Raven: Investigations and Adventures with Wolf-Birds! I watched some raven youtube videos some years ago. I was in love! Have you seen?

Thank you, Ann!
Nice to hear that, ladies!I would need your help with one of the challenges for my bingo board. Here are 3 books from my TBR, please tell me which looks more appealing to you! I will read the one that gets most votes before Hour 5 of the readathon:
by Michel Pastoureau
by Epicurus
by Han Kang

I have heard great things about The Vegetarian

The only one I have read is The Vegetarian. Although I didn't like it, you might. I'm voting for it so if you do read it, I can see what you think!
Have a great RaT and Happy reading to you!
Thank you everyone, who shared their opinion! 2 for The Vegetarian, 1 for the Raven so far, let's see who'll win! :DStill time left to vote. I'd love to read any of the three

Based on the covers I vote for the raven… Han Kang won the Nobel for literature, right? That book might be a great pick for you as well!
I'm starting the readathon with a reading sprint and
. I'm currently on SARS chapter, the author provides quite a detail description how the desease spread at the beginning.
Lamilla, see you starting strong with nonfiction about health. Stay strong! Enjoy your readathon.
Thank you, Cynda!During the first two hours I read for almost one hour and a half! Both books about health - Межвидовой барьер by David Quammen and Королевская история медицины by Ирина Лапина and co.
I also read some poems from Пейзаж с наводнением by Joseph Brodsky
I'm having a break for a snack (halva with tea) now.
I'm pretty happy with it too, Cathy! I went outside to walk my dog and now back to reading! We have a tie between The Vegetarian and The Raven at the moment. Anyone wants to cast a vote? :D
got me through the reading sprint of Hour 4! It's pretty late here, I'm going to bed soon. See you all tomorrow!Feel free to vote for one of the three books for me to read in the morning!

Half-Point Progress Report- How many books have you been reading?
I read from 3 out of my TBR stack
- Have you finished any?
Not yet, but I'm close on two. Fingers crossed...
- Are you on track with respect to your readathon goals so far?
I didn't set any goals, so everything is great! :D
- Have you eaten real food today? (Not just junk food, ACTUAL HEALTHY FOOD)
Of course. The readathon starts 3PM for me, so I had a proper supper and a breakfast already
- What was your favorite food or beverage so far?
I liked the new tea, green with flavouring
- Have you been participating in any of the activities on our social media?
I participated in two reading sprints (and read for an hour in the morning on my own) and I'm working on my bingo card as well
- Are you growing sleepy?
Fresh after the night sleep!
- Do you plan to nap, or stop early, or are you extending the readathon hours to include sleep?
Nothing of the above.
- Have you been outside yet today?
Yes, I have a dog, so we went to the evening and morning walks.
- Have you had much exercise (besides the heavy lifting required to hold your book)?
Unfortunately not.
How is your readathon going, overall?
- I haven't finished the books I planned, so I'll focus on them during the second half of the readathon. I'm pretty happy about the interaction with other participants in hourly threads and personal blogs
I am like you, I don't set reading goals for the RaT. That way I am always on track!Looks like you had a fun read!
See you at the next one.
Hope you had a wonderful time readathoning, Lamilla!
See you back here in July or October hopefully!

Thank you ladies! The readathong was great for me this time. We have a long weekend, so after it I went away from the PC for a bit, no Closing survey this time :D See you all July

Finished:
I'm participating in the pre-readathong challenge🌻Level One🌻 Some Basics
1. Summer Vacations
2. Natural Beauty Scenes
DONE 3. Summer Projects - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
4. Seasonal Events/Celebrations
DONE 5. Seasonal Sports/Activities - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Hufflepuff Edition
😎Level Two😎 Something a bit Extra
Extra.1. Heat Up -- Read a book that warms your heart or spirit.
Extra 2. Cool Down--Read a book that brings you a little bit more peace ( chill out emotionally, spiritually, physically)
I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which fits 3. Summer Projects due to the quest for Horcruxes.
Now I'm reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Hufflepuff Edition for 5. Seasonal Sports/Activities - Quiddich World cup and the Triwizard Turnament
Cathy wrote: "How does that edition differ from standard editions?"They have cover and coloured edges in the colours of the House (mine is Yellow for Hufflepuff), and additional notes in the beginning and the end of the book - some snipets about the house and notable wizards from it with black and white illustrations. Mine has pages on Cedric Diggory, entry to the Hufflepuff's common room and a picture of Helga Hufflepuff.
I have a couple of other books from the series in this edition: Order of the Phoenix with Ravenclaw blue and the first book in Gryffindor red.
Did I read that right that you are reading Harry Potter in the wrong order? I imagine this is a re-read to fit your prompts. They are great books for a readathon, I whizzed through them.

From time to time I reread one or two of the books, and this time it turned out to be almost a complete reread of the series (#1, #6, #2, #7 and now #4) :D
