Cheryl and Lisa, I made a mistaken comment, sorry!

It was the classic cross-thread mistake! As soon as I read "Alice", I assumed I was in the "Bookshelf Catch up" thread and answered accordingly.

So, please disregard my earlier comment.

This is, actually a very new situation. Cheryl's nomination is half a book that has been read and half one that hasn't! So, how to deal with that? :-)

1. We consider it a different book and the nomination is valid. But then the discussion on the first part would happen in two different threads, because there's one already for "Wonderland".

2. We consider it is not eligible.

3. We could change the nomination for "Looking Glass" only.

I favour the last alternative.

I've been wanting to re-read that for a long time, now .... was a surprise gem for me after I found it in a country op-shop many years back ... I remember that despite the darkness, it was unexpectedly funny, and it would be interesting to see how a relate to it after a 20 year interim (yikes!)

we already read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as a group, so not eligible. It's under "Alice in Wonderland" on the group's bookshelf - my bad I added an adaptation instead of the Lewis Carroll original, but we all read the original!
Per Cheryl's comment, took Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There as the nomination and anyone who seconded that or alice in wonderland was counted. thanks.
