Why am I only now discovering this author and book? This question kept popping up in my mind as I read, impressed page after page by Blatty's mastery in creating original and realistic descriptions and comparisons (seriously, I reread some of the phrases two or three times); by his ability to paint vivid pictures with words; and by his deep exploration of the characters' psychology – something I particularly love encountering in books. And last but not least, his skill in weaving profound knowledge into the plot, so that at no point do you doubt that it originates from the character rather than from the author's research...If you're interested, you can find my full review on my blog: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
The Double-Cross System: The Incredible True Story of How Nazi Spies Were Turned into Double Agents: J.C. Masterman.

I started over the weekend The Boys of Riverside: A Deaf Football Team and a Quest for Glory It is interesting and I hope to finish it by the end of this weekend because I can't take it with me on vacation because it is a library book.
I'm re-reading Blood Song by anthony Ryan. It's like a literary adrenaline shot -- a whirlwind of friendship, warcraft, and enough magic to make a wizard's head spin. It's the kind of book that makes you want to throw your Kindle across the room (but only because you're so excited to turn the page). If this isn't on your must-read list, you're missing out on a literary feast fit for a king.
Physically reading - Just For the Summer by Abby Jimenez Kindle reading - Quicksilver by Callie Hart
audible listening to Nocticaida can't recall the author
Started reading The Honey Witch because it looked like a good one for a Fall vacation. I am in chapter three and it has been good so far!
try Insanity Is Hereditary you get it from "Your Children(2023 edition);" and The Origin Of Words According to DJ. both are less than 200 pages and because of their engaging, entertaining, and unorthodox writing style even slow readers are finishing them in a couple of days. also the paperback copy is available on e-bay at a discounted price.
I just finished Whale Fall by Eizabeth O'Connor and really enjoyed it. I also ready Kiss Me in the Coral Lounge by Helen Elliss which was a nice light read.
