Sounds great, Kooloo! Let me know when you're up for In Harmony and we can make an official BR thread this time. lol

message 57: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments You guys totally need to read In Harmony by Emma Scott

So good and unique in the way it was told.

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
Leslie... darling, that was a HARD choice for me. Especially because I know you're having a wee bit of a hard time right now. However, because of that... I'm going to go with... How to Save a Life (Dreamcatcher, #1) by Emma Scott

Jan (jan130) Tessa wrote: "I pick for you. I thought for sure a historical was going to pop out at me, but you have a Mercy book begging to be picked. So, Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs"

Thanks Tessa :) Really, I don't read HRs ALL the time. (Just quite a lot) Haha.
I picked up a PB of Night Broken on a sale table in a bookshop ages ago and it's been sitting on my shelf ever since. I just read Burn Bright from the other Patricia Briggs series and really enjoyed it, so I guess it's time to catch up on Mercy and her doings :)

Jan (jan130) Tessa wrote: "I doubt you will, but don't pick Half-Blood for Jean. She's read that one already. :)"
K. I've got my eyes on a couple others on her shelf.

They are so fun. She's so quirky and unique. I admit, that Charles and Anna's relationship is one of my favorite couples, so Bright Burning wasn't all I wanted. Not enough -them being together- moments. I get swoony over them just being friends and talking to each other. :)

message 63: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Jean, Jean, I'm really torn. What to pick for you????? I lerved Cold-Hearted Rake Cold-Hearted Rake (The Ravenels, #1) by Lisa Kleypas . Beautiful HR, and quite hot and sexy........

Then there's Wait for It Wait for It by Mariana Zapata Classic slow burn.

But wait. *screeches on the brakes* You haven't read Lauren Gilley??? OMG. We have to fix this, stat!!!! My pick for you is Fearless Fearless (Dartmoor, #1) by Lauren Gilley

I hope you get hooked on this series like so many of us have. Really great MC series. Really well written with complex, realistic characters you get so sucked into. Long, meaty involved story, but super-gripping. Hope you enjoy!

I know exactly what you mean. I would have loved more romance between them in Burn Bright. Oh well, we take what we can get ;)

message 65: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Yay Jan!!! Looking forward to it....I was actually just about to start something new but couldn't decide. I'm diving in now! You just made things easier for me!

P.S. I just recently read Wait For It.... it was really good but long and slowist ever burn! Have to remove that one from my list.

And I still want to read Cold Heated Rake!!!!

message 66: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) *hugs Jean* I'm excited for you starting your journey with the Lean Dogs. And yeah, I hope you do get to CHR. It's a great series too.

message 72: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments I loved that book Leslie! Hope it gets you out of your slump!

message 73: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments Jean - you will love Fearless - it is amazing! It won’t feel like that long a book

message 74: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Ok Paula. Thank you... trying to not be intimidated by the length!

message 75: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Paula's right, Jean. You'll zoom through it. That book is awesome!!!
And that cover does suck. I've got mine set to the original one. The original will also stay on GR because it's against the rules to remove them.

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Finished my Pick from Paula - Turbulence (Turbulence, #1) by Whitney G. and the epilogue Turbulence The Epilogue (Turbulence, #1.5) by Whitney G. A definite 4 star read for me (though I didn't the think the Epilogue was even necessary). This is truly a good book out of the bazillions in that genre - and I absolutely FLOVED Jake. I haven't read such a charming asshole alpha in long time!!!

I really want to read Cruel Prince... but I am NOT spending 10 bucks on a book... lol. I just spent 5 on a book I know I am gonna love and I almost threw up, LOL!

message 85: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Yeah some kindle books are really pricy, aren't they? It always makes me stop and ask myself, how much do I REALLY want to read it? And has the library got it?

message 86: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Is it $10? Haven’t bought it yet.

Gotta take kid 2 to the library tomorrow anyway, so we'll see.

message 88: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Grey, check with the library. The Prince is such a jerk and just the angst from that alone should suck you in.

message 95: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
no I meant I have been on the book buying restrictions... so spending 5 bucks on Sleeping With Monsters almost made me puke to part with my money...not for any other reason! I'm loving it so far... it hurts sooo good!

Kooloo | 596 comments Sorry for the confusion Melbell 😍

:) You're very welcome. There is a reason I'm willing to pay the insane price when the book comes out with those. They are just that good.

message 99: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Yeah I hate those prices. I got this one as a pb in a bookshop sale bin at a bargain price, but I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and pay full price for the next ones in the series :/

message 100: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I don't own most of the first books because I got them at the library. :) The prices just makes me shudder.
