please see the GR policy on series numbering below:

My understanding is, that the series would keep it's GR numbering, regardless of the changes you are making

Can I change the series name on the new editions?

Absolutely. If another librarian doesn't get to this first, I can work on this tonight.

I still need to create the new editions. They have slightly different covers and new ISBNs - as well as new pub dates.
I'll post here once they're on GR.

Hello rivka - I've created all the new editions and made them the default with the series name The Dragonfire Novels. If you could do that for the other books in the series, that would be great. Thank you!
Deborah

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition. See http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... and http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/85....
My Dragonfire series was launched at Penguin then finished by me indie-publishing the final books. It's here on GR:

I'm now republishing new editions of all the books and cleaning up the metadata. First, I'm changing the series name to The Dragonfire Novels, because there are several Dragonfire series in the world. Second, I'm also renumbering the books to use only whole numbers so that all of the books display on series pages at Amazon and other retailers. This revision won't match the metadata at online retailers until my new editions of the first eight books are published this summer. The end of the series is already updated.
I created the new digital edition of book #1 this morning:

Can I change the series name like this, or is it better for librarians to do it?
The series numbering is fine for the first four books, but then changes:
Harmonia's Kiss #5

Whisper Kiss #6

Darkfire Kiss #7

Flashfire #8

Ember's Kiss #9

Kiss of Danger #10

Kiss of Darkness #11

Kiss of Destiny #12

Serpent's Kiss #13

Firestorm Forever #14

Here Be Dragons, The Dragonfire Companion, now has a firm publication date, which I've added.

The Dragon Legion Collection falls out of the series numbering this way (since it includes 10, 11 and 12) but that's what happens at the retailers, too, since it's a boxed set. Could it be just included in the series listing like Here Be Dragons and not be numbered? It's here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
I have new covers to upload and will create the new digital and print editions once it's confirmed that I'm doing it right. Also, I think some of the Penguin editions can be combined, particularly on Kiss of Fire.
It's a bit of a tangle right now. Thanks for your help in sorting it out.
