Literally makes no sense. Better plan would be to say heads up this is what’s going on to prepare her before walking in and seeing Adam writhe in pain? She obviously can’t control her powers or actions when she’s upset as demonstrated while pinning him to the wall… Kenji also just seems like an actual ass in this one and I was kinda starting to like him at the end of shatter me. He’s just being kinda dumb in this one… (hide spoiler)]

I love the little crossover with the novella. I’m actually so glad I read that, I feel like it really added so many more layers to this story.
I am struggling with this one a little. I feel like I don’t live the writing style, I really love the story and am excited to see where the story goes but I’m not loving the way it is written. I feel like there is a lot of redundancy in these books.

I don't think it's you... I had a little trouble with it towards the middle and ending... I felt there was a lot of unnecessary info dump.

I've read the most this year than I ever have before and I just keep thinking "this could have been written so differently and I think I would have enjoyed it more"

(view spoiler)[I’m confused. They’re just going to go meet the general? They agreed knowing literally nothing. Like are they a distraction? What does he expect Juliette to do? Is castle going to attack while they’re chatting? Who is meeting them? They didn’t outline what was in the letter. Like. This book is so vague sometimes and I’m like, how am I supposed to believe these characters when nothing makes sense. (hide spoiler)]

She is infuriating as a main character, maybe that's intentional but its definitely getting on my nerves. Every time she's going through a thought process I roll my eyes into the next dimension. (hide spoiler)]

Took me a long time with this one, I just never really got super into it. (view spoiler)[I agree Juliette is very whinny. And I also prefer her with Warner, I dont feel like the feelings are true with Adam and Juliette. I feel like we are told they love each other instead of shown? But maybe that's on purpose, maybe Juliette is just trying to hold on because she thinks she owes him or herself something? But I truly don't think they will end up together.
I do feel like Adam is a very surface level character, I feel like I've read 2 books and he still has no personality and I really don't see what Juliette sees in him. I am going to start Fracture me though and I am wondering if that will change because I've heard its Adams perspective.
I also didn't get the excitement you should during the last bit, I was kinda waiting for something else big to happen, I felt like I just didnt really care all that much during the whole thing, and as soon as he said the healers were there and then he shot Juliette there were no moments I thought she was actually going to be injured.
I am however interested in this revelation she has had at the very end and wonder if she now wants to work more with Warner to actually fight. (hide spoiler)]
