She read it in and around the early 2000's. She thinks it may have been a finalist for either the Silver Birch or Red Maple Ontario Library Association Forest of Reading awards (https://www.accessola.org/OLAWEB/Fore...). The main female character also may have been knighted...she can't remember exactly. She also doesn't think it was part of a series. Main character may have had red hair.
