Completion PostShelf #2 ~ Immortals

310 pages
While I didn't love this book , I did enjoy it . I really like the first half of the book but didn't enjoy the second half as much. I really like the characters of Charley, Cookie and Garret. Really didn't care for Reyes. I am worried on where this series is headed, but I will read the second book to see what happens.

Not from your group, just so nice to find someone else who doesn't think Reyes is awesome. ;) We are a minority. I've read the first three books and the remainder is on hiatus until my tastes change or a blow to the head knocks out my memory. It would just be such a better series if it was a kooky girl team of detectives solving paranormal crime. Semi-imaginary shower sex just isn't my thing. :D

Totally agree!
Can I DNF a book but still count it? I'm really trying to get into my futuristic romance but can't seem to.
Maddison wrote: "Can I DNF a book but still count it? I'm really trying to get into my futuristic romance but can't seem to."No Maddison, if you can't get into it pick a different book. But you must read it entirely, whichever book you pick, and of course it must be at least 200 pages & on the list or tagged with the exact shelf name.
Week 1: Futuristic Romance Completion

Review: Only reason I read this book is because of a challenge. I didn't follow the story at all, and because of that I'd wanted to DNF it, but the book had to be finished to be counted XD So I had to push through. It's a pretty complex book to digest as an audio, which I think is part of the reason. I get easily distracted, so I missed details. It took me a while to realise that (view spoiler) I also can't believe (view spoiler) It was quite a graphic descriptive book with all of the sex and stuff like that. I honestly had no idea what happened at the end, how (view spoiler) Who knows. Definitely won't be reading any more. Apparently it's also a spin-off series which wouldn't have helped.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
And tomorrow I'll start 1st to Die, my detective book. I'll keep up to date now until I can read my part of a series book and my immortals book, which will both be done in the next week or two :)

Review: The start was typical, exactly how I expected it to go, yet I was totally happy with that. I reached around 3/4 through and I thought (view spoiler) And then that tiny little (view spoiler) right there, that just totally stopped my heart. Probably the first time a book has properly done that to me, actually surprised me full-out with a plot twist. The fact that (view spoiler) I couldn't believe it XD It was such a crazy ride. So glad I impulse-picked this up for a challenge, and I finally read it. Will definitely be continuing the series. Just really sad that (view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Awesome. I look forward to it :)
Book: Jackaby by William Ritter
Pages: 299
Shelf: Detective
Read: 4.4.18
Rating: ★★★
Review:
I tried not to make too many Sherlock comparisons while I was reading, but it was very difficult. I found Jackaby to be very much like Sherlock, but with a supernatural twist. Jackaby can sense/see supernatural entities, and auras. I really liked Abigail Rook, she made a great assistant a.k.a Watson. While I found the book enjoyable, and an interesting take on Sherlock, I don't think it stood enough on it's own. That's why it gets only 3 stars, but I am interested in seeing how the next book goes before making a decision on whether or not I'll continue with the entire series.
Starting my Part-of-a-Series now, but might put it down somewhere in the middle and pick up my Demons book. Either way, I'll have another one done in a few days XD

Another great Agatha Christie novel. Hercule
Poirot is my favorite character of Christie’s novels. Surprise ending too.
On vacation sorry for the short review. Hard to type on the iPad 😀
Completion Post Shelf #3 Part of a series
Book: Backstage Pass
Read: 4/8/18
Rated: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Review: This was a really hot but also with emotional withdraw from Myrna but its understandable with what she went through but after meeting Brian Sinclair and the others from the band, she finds her way to trying and doing new things without the guilt but still can't get passed others. Great book.
Maddison wrote: "When is the new shelf called? Feel like it's been ages."Let me see. We just got the demons shelf so the next one is Wednesday
Maddison wrote: "Oh wow a while away xD I'm halfway through my demon book. am I roo far behind?"You still have Immortals and Part of a Series still to do besides the Demon book.

Review: This was a good story of the next of Poseidons' warriors. It had its fun, scary and hot moments but all was unvailed in the end.

Review: I once again really liked the mother-daughter relationship in this book, and how (view spoiler) I do like the happy ending, but it all seemed too easy. At least (view spoiler) And during the epilogue, were they (view spoiler) This was such a good conclusion to the series. It really blew me away, because I despised the first 2. I focused on this one 100%, and enjoyed it too :D I can't wait to read #4, from Kai's POV, seeing his insight will be good.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
