Hi, my name is Carl Pruit. I'm a Paranormal Fiction Writer and have just published my first book, called "The Chapel". I'm a voracious reader and some of my favorite writers include John Grisham and Stephen King. I'm also very much into the classics like Mark Twain and Edgar Allan Poe.I'm looking to meet fellow writers and book enthusiasts to chat with and get to know. Drop me a message and lets chat. If you would like to check out my book, please go to: http://www.amazon.com/Chapel-C-Pruit-...

I mean I only read at lunch at work, and on my phone whenever I'm standing in line, and a little in the morning before work, oh and after we put our son to bed. I mean, come on, paperbacks basically fit in your back pocket, ebooks travel so easily and you can always squeeze a few chapters in here and there. Who doesn't do that?
Birthday: Every yearFavorite Book(s): Oh this one is lol well, when I was a little kid I always was fascinated with fairy tales although I don't have a fairy tale that i like in particular. Then I moved on to Harry Potter when I was 10 yrs. old 13 years ago (and I really liked the Potter series) and then I started reading, going from there, I read Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles (and it's the vampire series I only managed to really read until the latest installment of the chronicles: Prince Lestat and I intend to read Bram Stoker's Dracula but I already read Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu). And also, I read a few other classics I do not remember anymore, scifi, thriller, mystery, and Egyptian-related nonfiction books (although I never managed to really update my own goodreads bookshelves since I am a lazy person and being organized is not one of my best traits lmao) and then I stumbled upon The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan and I was forever hooked. But really, favorite is something I don't have lol it's like asking me which do I prefer: My right hand or my right hand lmao
Favorite Book Genre: Fantasy, Historical, Mystery, Thriller, almost anything! (Just no YA and or Erotic Romance lol just not into those)
Favorite Author: Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, J.K. Rowling, Rick Riordan, Peter Ackroyd, Ken Follett . . . should I really name all? Lmao

Hi Stephanie and welcome to NBRC ☺
As you can see we have plenty of challenges, buddy reads and books of the month so I hope you'll find something you like.
You might want to check out our tower team challenge. It's nothing complicated. Couple of teams competing who'll reach certain numbers of pages first. All you have to do is read. Tough, I know :P
I've been actively participating in GR since getting a Kindle Fire a few months ago, but don't believe that I have taken time to introduce myself. So. . . .Birthday: December 24th
Favorite Book: Hard to narrow down, but 'To Kill a Mockingbird' has probably been on my list the longest.

Any pets: too many of the cat and dog varieties, thanks to two daughters who left home without their pets
Live anywhere: I love my home in the mountains of SW Virginia, but wish I could afford a beach house for vacations.
I know I'm a book addict . . . . because the first adjective I use in describing myself is 'reader.' Also, I feel compelled to try to scan the titles of books in magazine photos. Anyone else do this, too?
Anyway, I have truly enjoyed participating in GR and look forward to spending more time with fellow bookaholics.
