Welcome aboard, Karsten. Your post made me hungry so I'm toasting a Canadian Jewish cinnamon raisin bagel. Honestly, I'm not sure of the nationality, but I'm hoping it's delicious.

I used to read a LOT and I always have loved reading, but for some reason I have kind of just stopped, and am starting back up currently. I have always wanted to be able to read books with 'buddies' and kind of have a book-club kind of thing, and am hoping this will be the place to be. I am going to try to be active here & read books with all of you and make friends!Birthday: April 30th, 1988

Do you guys read any romance/chick lit books? How can I request a buddy read?
Danielle wrote: Thank you, hope so too! Do you guys read any romance/chick lit books? How can I request a buddy read?"
Hi Danielle and welcome to the group!
Our members read a variety of genres and we do have a lot of chick-lit and romance readers.
If you want to request a buddy read stop by our Buddy Read Request thread and make a comment stating the book you are interested in.
Danielle wrote: "Thank you, hope so too! Do you guys read any romance/chick lit books? How can I request a buddy read?"
You'll find we read everything, and I really mean everything. :P
Best way to find buddy would be buddy read thread (check under requests). It's little crowded at the moment since we are starting new team challenge, but I think you'll manage.
And to make some new friends quickly, I suggest checking out (said) team challenge - Tower Teams III
Edit:
Amanda was faster ☺

Hi! I'm Jennifer and completely new to good reads. My favorite book that comes to mind would have to be the Mistborn Trilogy, the Inheritance Cycle shortly behind that one. I can't say I have a favorite Author, but I love all Rick Riordans' books, Mythology is very interesting to me, and the humor in them is great. I am 26, and live in Michigan (US). I Have two little ones, 6 and 7, as well as two kittens, barely 4 Months of age. I am excited to get ideas for new books, and discuss books I have read. Thank you.

My favorite color is blue but I also like green, pink and yellow.
I have one dog and would love if I could have a house full!
I know I'm a book addict because I can talk about books like the charaters are alive and I sometimes forget that they are fiction and only live in my heart. I can reread books and do so often. I am always looking for author and book recomendations.
Hi, My name is Chris and I live in Victoria. I liked the name of this book club so I joined it to see what kinds of books people are reading and recommending. I read a lot, but get bored easily with fiction that just don't strike me as original enough. It's like every second book is just a rip-off of some recent best-seller, except not as good, and most of the time I don't like the best-seller either! So I'm looking for some original stuff. Right now I'm reading a guy named Sergei Dovlatov, a Russian who died in 1990. Some call him the Russian Kerouac. His stuff is great. I also like books about dogs, but I also joined a dog book club here, so don't worry about that.
