Nay (4ukcats) I just re-read her post and she says it's what she 'already know(s) is going to happen', so I guess she's just trying to decide if it'll be worth it.

message 152: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments I completely agree with you Nay - I would hate her to miss it. It is such an epic love. With regards to the spoiler - I was OK reading it and agree with you - it was where the story was going at that time. It is not an all hearts and flowers love story but there are hearts and flowers plus I feel the author gave us a great ending.
She had better give a nice ending to her new duet! Not as epic as this trilogy but an enjoyable read.

Amy (amy_nm) | 140 comments Hey ladies!! I haven't been on GR in soooooo long...I actually couldn't remember my password at first, lol.

My issue with At This Moment is (view spoiler)

That's what is holding me back. 😕

message 154: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Amy--there ARE extenuating circumstances, but after reading your post, I don't think you'll be ok with the hero.

Someone else may think differently??

message 155: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments I kind of do - my review gives a bit more details as to what happened but somehow I could sort of forgive him and that is probably because how he was after the incident (and it is not full on sex) and how the author had the effects on his emotions come back throughout the series. At no point was he glib about what happened - their love was epic but not without issues. Which the author dealt with amazingly.

Amy (amy_nm) | 140 comments Also, (view spoiler)

I just wish she would have left that out because THEN I would be indulging in this story right along with you guys. And I am so, so, SO jealous of those of you who are able to get over this sort of thing when reading. So there's that.

message 157: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments Also, it says something when looking at GR, I read this in Oct 2016 and I remember it all!

message 158: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments See that is where reading is great - different people have different perspectives.(view spoiler)

message 159: by Amy (new)

Amy (amy_nm) | 140 comments Yep, and that's one of the many things I love about having you ladies on the blog. We all get to know each other's likes and dislikes and can warn each other off from books that may push us over the edge. ;)

Just read it Amy. I promise you won’t regret it.

But isn’t it just great seeing others in anguish and not yourself.

I actually don’t remember the cheating in the book. There’s actually so much going on. That’s not really relative as I think it’s inferred but not graphic. May have to read it again to remember that part.

Amy, I'm enjoying this thread. If you want to ask me any specific questions about this particular incident that you're concerned with, I'd be happy to answer as best I can without giving away any spoilers. And since I can't figure out how to denote the spoiler on here, I'll leave it for you to reach out to me if you're interested. I'd love to help you, if I can. xxoo

:D One of my top favorites of 2017. Gut wrenching, emotional, I freaking Cried, and to be honest, of that huge Mafia mood I went through, that was the best and such a unique feel and plot to a trope. Seriously, I just wanted to hug the heroine.

message 169: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Tessa, yes, the jacket! I'm loving book 2 too!!!! And obviously will go right onto book 3!!! Thank you so much!

Renee, FREAKING LOVED NASHVILLE!!!! It is an awesome city! We went to all the popular bars (Tootsies, The Stage, FGL Bar, Nudie's and many more) and I LOVED all the local bands! Did Grande Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, and Jack Daniels distillery! All great! Was the name of that restaurant you recommrnded near JD distillery Miss Mary Bobos? If so, that WAS where we ate and it was great! Homemade southern food served family style with people at our table we didn't know but got to meet and chat! I'll definitely be going back to Nashville....I could listen to the bands all day long!

message 170: by Nay (last edited Mar 12, 2018 06:37PM) (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Wow, Jean! You've been to more of Nashville than I have! lol Being that I'm not a country music lover... I have been to the Opry, though.

I've also been to the JD Distillery and went antiquing in Lynchburg. And yes, it is Miss Mary Bobo's. A local talk show we have called 'Talk of the Town' has the owner on there a lot making her recipes and talking about the restaurant. She's the great grandniece of Jack Daniel.

I'm so glad you had a great time!

message 171: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments The restaurant was the most pleasant surprise! I was apprehensive when i found out we sat with other people and ate whatever was being served because I'm shy and a picky eater! But it was awesome! My girlfriend bought the cookbook!

Awww, thanks Karen! I checked out Paula's review (THANK YOU PAULA!!!) which explained it a bit. I did buy the book but I have to really be in the right kind of mood to tackle that sort of thing because it is unfortunately one of my hard limits in books.

Glad you're enjoying our banter though! These ladies are so fun to interact with here and on Maryse's blog.

message 173: by Amy (new)

Amy (amy_nm) | 140 comments Jean! Sounds like you had a BLAST on your trip!!

And I'm totally with whomever mentioned before about all of us meeting up somewhere for a mini-vacation someday. How freaking fun would that be???

message 185: by Tessa (new)

message 186: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Wait, it's already out! I need to read the book I started after first. :) I spent all night playing GW2 so... I just started the other. lol

I’m waiting for book 3 to come out in the brothers series
Which comes out this year but I don’t know when????

message 188: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Oh good. I can wait until then. :P RIght now, they are KU, which is kinda cool. I can't see re-reading the series. I could be wrong, of course, but it doesn't feel like a re-read series.

message 189: by Kooloo (new)

Kooloo | 596 comments Ok should I start the Pebble Jar -- Lisa or Robin where are you???
is it RYHO (rip your heart out) or what?

message 190: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Rip your heart out no...but emotional, and a truly beautiful story for sure. You may need a coiple tissues, but shouldn't be found sobbing and rocking in the corner.

message 191: by Kooloo (new)

Kooloo | 596 comments Ok that's good - Thanks Lisa babe I'm on it!!!

message 192: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments I finished my pick from Fabi. Enslaved (The Life of Anna, #1) by Marissa Honeycutt - thanks, Babe. Glad to get another one out of the TBR. I only 3 starred it, just because it's weird, LOL!!

On a separate note, Kooloo, did you read The Pebble Jar by H.A. Robinson

Leslie | 2430 comments The good news is I finished all my challenges for the month!!! The bad news is I am def having a book slump.

I couldnt get into A Love Letter to Whiskey A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner 2**

(view spoiler)

message 195: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Leslie--one of my HUGE pet peeves is when characters have a break-up, time apart, angst, whatever, and there's no 'payoff' when they finally get back together or get everything worked out. I've mentioned it in many reviews.

message 196: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Nay, I hate when I am reading and I dont "feel" anything. Do you know what I mean? Its like I dont even care what happens to characters. That is when I know it will be a book fail. It reminded me when you all were loving Drive by Kate Stewart and I was bored silly and not getting it.

But hey, its always nice knocking another one off the TBR right?

message 197: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Definitely great to get them of the TBR! Sounds like you don't care for the back and forth. Wasn't Drive like that too??

message 198: by Leslie (new)
