Nix smiled a bit. He turned his head and kissed Kai’s forehead gently. “I’m good with whatever you want to do.” He shrugged slightly. “I just wanted to get to spend a whole day wit you rather than just a few hours..”He explained softly, looking at him. He smiled at him happily, shifting and putting an arm around him.

Nyx smiled a bit. He turned his head and kissed Kai’s forehead gently. “I’m good with whatever you want to do.” He shrugged slightly. “I just wanted to get to spend a whole day wit you rather than just a few hours..” he explained, looking at him. “Question for you.. have you started thinking of names for the pup?” Nyx asked curiously. It wasn’t really something they discussed before. For last name, Nyx guessed that the pup would take Kai’s name but he was willing to let them both take his name if they wanted to. He had no idea for first names though and was wondering if Kai had thought about it yet.

((Should be. Thanks.))Kai curled into him more and closed his eyes for a moment. ”A name? Um. I have some ideas but they aren’t very solid since I don’t know the gender yet. But I made sure they all sound good with either of our last names,” he replied with a smile, placing his hand on his small bump. Kai didn’t care what name their pup took, last name wise anyway. He guesses that what name their pup took would depend on the sex and whether or not they were an Alpha. It was entirely unlikely, he knew that, but he hoped. If their pup ended out as an Alpha, Kai wanted them to take Nyx’s last name so they could have the best advantage at a good life. Even though they would essentially be a bastard child, they would still have an advantage than an Omega.
Nyx held him gently, shifting how his arms were around him and gently splaying one of his hands across the bump on Kai’s stomach. “Well can I hear your ideas at least?” He asked curiously. “And when will you possibly be able to find out the gender.” Nyx asked. He didn’t know much about any of this so he figured he’d ask and learn from Kai. “If they’re an alpha or at least strong enough to be one; that’ll move your rank up too..” he said softly. “Since you are their parent.” Nyx explained softly, glancing st him. He bit his lip lightly.
Kai chewed his lip as he remembered his favorite names. ”For a girl, I really like Mercy Rae or Harper Quincy. Although that last one is more gender neutral. For a boy, I like Jem Quinton. Um, Desmond Carter or Roe Winston. Those are the ones I really like,” Kai replied, looking at the hand splayed out on his stomach. He was ready to meet their pup. ”I’ll be able to know in about 2-3 weeks. Then they should be able to tell the sex of the pup,” he answered, looking up at him again with a soft smile. Kai didn’t reply to Nyx’s last comment. He knew that would happen but it would bring him to Beta at most and that was if their pup turned out to be an Alpha. But there was no way to tell in the womb and the chances of their pup being an Alpha were astronomically small.
Nyx looked at him, listening quietly to the names he’d thought of. He nodded slightly, liking a couple of them. “Those just names you like or are they connected to you in some way or something?” He asked him curiously, staying close to him. Nyx nodded. “Alright.” He said softly, thinking to when that’d be. He stayed closed to him. “Don’t worry about them being an alpha though. If they are, that’ll help but otherwise, I’ll figure out some way for you to move up Kai. I’m not gonna leave you down at the bottom of the pack.”
Kai shook his head slightly. "No, they don't have any personal connection to me. I just really liked them," he answered then fell quiet again. He shifted so he could look up at Nyx. "Nyx," he started, using his first name. He didn't do that often. "I don't care about my rank. All I care about is making sure that our pup has the best life possible. If that means leaving them with you so that you can raise them without the stigma of having an Omega mother then so be it. If that means raising them without any connection to you so you don't have to carry around the weight of a low-rank bastard child then so be it," Kai ranted. "I was born Omega. Why we got paired is beyond me but if this mark," he held up his hand, flipping it to show the Greek letter marked on his wrist, "was meant to be different then it would be. I don't care about me or my status. I care about our pup and doing the best I can for him or her." After he finished speaking he returned to his original position and took a deep breath. "Sorry," he mumbled, reaching up and rubbing his eyes.
Nyx nodded slightly. “Okay.” He immediately fell silent when Kai started ranting. He tried to always do stuff like that, give him as much respect as possible since he knew Kai was rarely treated that politely or anything. He waited a moment after Kai finished speaking before answering. “There’s no need to apologize Kai.” He said, collecting his thoughts before speaking again. “I’d never ask you to do something like that, to give up our pup, not for any reason.. so let me do right by both of you and I’ll take you as my mate. I know that contradicts what I already did but I don’t care..” he looked at him. “The more I’m around you, the more I learn about you, the more I want to be with you Kai. I don’t know why we were paired up with our ranks but I’m thinking that maybe that isn’t supposed to matter as much as people think it does.. “Just. What do you think would be best for the future of our pup and us?” He asked softly. “Whatever you think is best Kai, I will trust you and make it happen..” Nyx promised. “I honestly don’t know what I’m doing most of the time when it comes to any of this more personal stuff. So I’m just trusting you...”
Kai turned his head but didn't move again. He gave Nyx a soft smile and shook his head. "I know as little about this as you do. I haven't dealt with this before. Not a hierarchy gap in mates and certainly not being pregnant. I'm just taking these things as they come. There is no better way to do it," he replied softly. Kai meant what he said but intentionally avoided commenting on becoming Nyx's official Luna. He didn't want to cause any problems. Yes, technically, the pack did not know that Kai was to be Nyx's mate in the first place but the fact that Nyx would be officially mating with an Omega, one that he "chose" of all people would be madness to them. The pack was also not stupid. Someone would figure out when Kai got pregnant and would either say that Kai had had a different lover or that they had, rightly, mated before the mating ceremony. The rumors, true or not, would spread like wildfire. But would waiting until their pup was born be worse? "I don't know," he mumbled to himself after a moment of quiet contemplation.
Nyx nodded slightly. He rested his head on kai’s shoulder gently. “I’m sorry.. this is all way too complicated and stressful, I know..” he mumbled quietly. “We’ll figure this out...” he bit his lip and held him gently. “We’ll find a way to do what’s best for our pup. But you aren’t going to just give them up to be raised by me or something. Okay? There’s no way I’d be able to raise a pup alone. I know that so that’s out of the question.”
Kai let his head rest against Nyx's and he closed eyes. He chuckled softly. "You could do it. I know you could," he murmured, placing a hand on his stomach as Nyx held him. After a silent moment, Kai's eyes shot open and he gasped. "Their kicking," he whispered, his voice filled with awe. He took Nyx's hand and placed it on the spot where the pup was kicking and he looked over at him. Kai's eyes were bright and his expression filled with joy as he waited for Nyx's reaction. This may be one of the hardest things he had ever done and experienced in his life but even the little moments like this were making it incredibly worth it.
“Maybe.. but that wouldn’t be fair to them...” he said quietly. “I wonder.... could it be possible we’re paired together because I’m supposed to be an omega as well, like one of my parents was one or something?” he theorized randomly, just trying to find some good explanation. Nyx shrugged slightly and shifted when Kai gasped. He rested his hand flat against his stomach and waited for a moment before feeling the kick. His eyes lit up. “Whoa.. that’s so cool!” He said happily, smiling softly and looking st him.
Kai's smile grew to a grin as Nyx's eyes lit up from feeling their pup move. It may not have been intentional and their pup was certainly not going to be born into the best of circumstances but they were already loved so much. Even if it did come down to one of them never being around, Kai had no doubts that they would still love this pup dearly. "Just so you know, I will be giving birth at my parents' home since my mother is a midwife. My father will send for you after the birth so you don't randomly up and disappear for hours," Kai informed him. They had agreed that waiting until after the birth would be best.
Nyx smiled faintly. He shifted his hand slightly so kai could rest his hand back on his stomach and feel the pup kick as well. He nodded slightly at Kai. “Alright. Ill get to see you hopefully a lot more before then too...” he said quietly, staying close to him. A part of him wanted to be there with Kai but he understood why it was best for him not to be, so they could lower suspicion. “Just a couple more months..” he said softly, smiling s bit at him. Nyx kissed his cheek lightly.
Kai nodded, biting his lip but his smile showed through the bad habit. He was ready. He was ready to meet their little pup. Kai wanted to be able to hold them in his arms and kiss their forehead. He twined his fingers with Nyx's, resting his temple on his shoulder as he sighed contentedly. One day they could be a happy family, one that didn't have to hide what they had.
((I had an idea that I will preface by saying that if you ever have any ideas, feel free to tell me. Anyway, what if there was a hidden twin and one is born Alpha and the other is born Omega? Also, sorry that it's short.))
“You’re so cute whenever you think about them. You just light up. It’s really nice to see..” Nyx said quietly, looking at him. He smiled a bit and leaned on his shoulder, rubbing light circles across Kai’s stomach. “We’ll make this work.” He promised softly. (Sorry mines short too...)
(I actually really like that idea! Would Nyx know about both of them but they’d like split them up or how would you want to go about that?))

Anywho, I hadn't thought that far tbh. xD. Maybe they keep them together with Kai with Nyx visiting as often as he could until their about 3-4. Then Nyx takes the Alpha pup with him and starts to raise the Alpha pup so they can become the next Alpha later in the future. After Nyx takes the Alpha twin, they visit occasionally but maybe not as often as before but also not sparse enough to make the Omega twin to forget about Nyx and the Alpha twin forget about Kai. If that made any sense.))
((That makes sense and sounds like a really good idea to me. There’s also a lot we can add in with Nyx trying to explain the pup at some point and all that too.)

Kai locked the door to his apartment, sighing softly. He was so busy trying to get ready for a new pup. It was worth it though as he placed his stomach on his stomach, feeling his little one moving about. Kai smiled softly to himself. He was now another month and a half along so the growth of his stomach was inevitable. His stomach had grown almost twice in size and it had been impossible to hide his pregnancy. It was a reason why he tried not to go out too much but it was a necessity this time. Kai stiffened when he heard what he thought was a growl but quickly rationalized it away, thinking it was nothing. He was very wrong however and upon turning around he was greeted by a seething Beta. Kai's eyes widened and he dropped his keys in surprise as the Beta took only a second to move in front of him.
The Beta snarled at Kai then spat on him. "Such a fucking disgrace. To think that our future Alpha would breed an Omega. That pup will be nothing more than a bastard child," the Beta growled at him, getting ever closer. Suddenly, only an arm's length away from Kai, the Beta stopped and his facial expression smoothed out. In its stead, a dangerous and violent light appeared in his eyes. "Maybe I should just end it now. I can be a good Samaritan and save it from the shame and humiliation it would endure from the pack," the Beta rationalized out loud, placing a hand on Kai's stomach. He shifted that hand at will, claws appearing, and started to dig them into his stomach. Blood pooled on his claws through the shirt he was wearing and he grinned maliciously as Kai let out a cry of pain, knowing that if he moved, it would mean the end for both him and his pup. "No. Please," he whimpered, tears starting to slip down his cheeks. "Oh stop your mewling," the Beta snarled, moving his other hand to Kai's neck and squeezing.

It’s so hard to inflict harm on your own character :C )) Nyx had been planning on surprising Kai, having initially said that he had to do some stuff that day but he rearranged his schedule so he could at least slip off and see Kai for a bit and check on him. He grabbed his backpack and got out of the car at Kai’s apartment. He slung it over his shoulder and started walking down the path to his apartment.
He froze for a moment as he got within sight of the Beta and Kai. He silently set his bag down and quickly stalked forward, letting his hands shift to claws since the beta had its back to him. He quickly put an arm tightly around his waist so he couldn’t flee and pressed his other hand and claws against the betas throat. “Just what do you think you’re doing?” He growled lowly, his voice sounding completely different than normal. It was dark and menacing, a clear show of strength. “Let him go before I kill you for touching him.” Nyx growled, pressing his claws against the beta’s throat to the point where he was cutting off his air and starting to draw blood.
Kai didn't notice Nyx as his vision tunneled from lack of air. When he heard Nyx's voice, tears flowed a bit faster. He was here. Nyx was here for him. Kai gasped for air when Nyx's grasp on the Beta caused him to drop his hand from his neck but that quickly turned to a hoarse cry of pain as the Beta reflexively tightened his other hand, causing the claws to dig in further before pulling out. Kai's knees gave out at the pain and he fell, the sharp pain felt for a split second as he hit the concrete. Instantly, the pain in his stomach returned and he sobbed heavily, gasping in pain. My pup. Not my pup. Please let them be okay. It was the only thing he thought as he placed his hands on the wound. The blood was warm against his fingers and he began to hyperventilate.
The Beta jerked in surprise as someone grabbed him from behind but upon hearing Nyx's voice, he knew exactly who it was. He tipped his head back to try and avoid the claws on his neck. However, when they broke the skin, he twitched, dropping his hand from Kai's neck and unconsciously digging further into his stomach. "Do it," he gasped hoarsely. "I don't want to be around when the bastard pup of an Omega bitch is born,' the Beta taunted. He had no intentions of living through this. Even if Nyx hadn't appeared, he would have been found out eventually and promptly been executed for the murder of a carrier with child. Omega or not; illegitimate or not; the pack had no tolerance for the murder of pups and carriers.
Nyx focused on the beta, knowing he’d lose his focus the moment that he saw Kai and saw him hurt. “No Beta. I will not be that merciful to you. You will face the pack for what youve tried to do and face their full punishment.” Nyx said lowly. He yanked the beta back from where Kai was, letting go of his neck and instead swinging a hard punch at the betas head to knock him out. Once the beta collapsed, Nyx dropped him and retracted his claws, kneeling by Kai. He dug his phone out of his pocket and called his second in command, needing their help to contain the beta and get the pack doctor. He held the phone to his ear with one hand as it rang before moving and putting his other hand on Kai’s stomach, putting pressure on the wound. “They’ll Be Okay Luna. It’s gonna be okay.” He promised softly.
For a moment, Kai heard nothing, his senses overload. All he saw was his lips moving and the distant feeling of Nyx placing his hand on his. "Nyx..." he whispered through sobs, his own voice sounding muffled. He leaned forward, placing his forehead on Nyx's shoulder for support, only moments later did he go limp as he passed out from the pain.
As soon as his phone rang, Nyx's Beta answered the phone. He was one of the very few people who knew about Nyx and Kai. It took one sentence before he was moving out of his apartment and to his car. "I'll be there in just a moment. Hold on. I'll bring Doctor Carter with me," he stated quickly, hanging up a split second later and hopping in his car. He paid no attention to speed limits as he drove the doctor's office. He barged in. "I need Doctor Carter now!" he demanded. A nurse nodded and ran into a room. Moments later she appeared with the doctor. "His Luna was attacked," the Beta stated, not naming names for a reason. The doctor understood, barked some orders out to the nurses before following him out. Only minutes after did they arrive. Carter jumped from the car. "He needs to be on his back, Alpha! It will keep the pup away from the damage," he called out as he rushed over. Immediately, he dropped to his knees beside the carrier and ripped his shirt. "Dammit," he cursed, tossing the fabric aside. The wounds were deeper than he had hoped. All he wished was that they hadn't reached the pup. Losing the pup would physically be more painful for Kai than giving birth would.
Nyx listened to his beta, thankful that he’d told him so he’d already know where to go to find them. “You’ve gotta be okay Luna..” he whispered, shifting and gently laying Kai down on the pavement when he passed out. He kept pressure on the wounds as tightly as he could. He glanced at his beta and the doctor when they showed up. “You’ve gotta help them.” He pleaded, his voice weaker than normal. He shifted aside and kept pressure on the wound until the doctor was there to see it and help them. Nyx glanced back at the attacker, making sure he was still out. “Im gonna handle him..” he said lowly.
Carter and his Beta (gonna name him Kyle), could hear the pain and desperation in Nyx's voice. It was something so unlike him. Carter looked up at the Alpha. "I'm going to do everything I can," he assured before looking back down at the wounds. Carter mumbled a string of curses and he grabbed Kai's wrist, checking his pulse. Another slew of expletives came from the doctor and he looked to Kyle. "Give Alpha your keys. I need to get the Luna to my office. I can't help him like this. Take the bastard to the pack leaders while we're there. Tell them that they need to lock him up, no excuses and that I will explain later. Go!" he commanded. Carter heard Kyle's keys jangle as he shifted and picked Kai up as carefully as he could. He knew he had to save him. His death could have irreparable damage to the integrity of the pack. God knows what Nyx would do if he lost them. "Go, Alpha. We need to go," Carter stated, quickening his pace as he heard Kai's breath begin to shallow. He waited for Nyx to open the back door then carefully placed Kai inside. Once in and situated, he looked up. "Drive, Alpha. His life is..." Carter didn't finish his sentence. Kai was bleeding so much that he believed he may have severed a major artery or vein or one that supplied the pup with blood and, subsequently, nutrients. The faster Nyx got them there, the better his chances of saving his life.
Nyx nodded. He stayed out of their way and watched helplessly until Carter gave him instructions. He nodded and took kyles keys, mumbling a faint Thanks. He grabbed Kai’s keys from the ground and quickly headed to the car as Carter carried Kai. He held the door open till they were inside before shutting the door and getting in the drivers seat and starting the car, his hands slick with blood. He started driving, ignoring speed limits and everything, just trying to get back to the doctors place so they could help Kai. “I know. I know. I’m his Luna. I can feel it..” he mumbled weakly, focusing on the roads. Nyx hadn’t planned on admitting that but he wasn’t even thinking, he just needed to get Kai help. He quickly got to the doctors place and stopped the car right up by the doors so they could rush Kai inside. He got out of the car and opened the door to help carter get Kai out.
As soon as they reached his clinic, the doctor eased Kai out and made a beeline for the surgery room. "I need two nurses with me now and a cleaned operating table. Don't worry about prepping it, we don't have time," he yelled out, carrying the Luna into an adjacent hallway. Two nurses ran ahead of him and rushed to get things ready. "Prep 3 IVs. One saline. One painkiller cocktail number 2. One type A negative blood. I also need an oxygen mask. Breathing is shallow," he called as he laid Kai on a table, grabbing a stethoscope to check his heart again. "Don't give up on me, Omega. Someone is relying on you," he whispered, grabbing a heart monitor and quickly hooking it up. Moments later, the nurses appeared with the IVs and quickly inserted them. "I need the sonogram machine please," he called as he grabbed the gel generally used and started to rub it around his stomach, ignoring the fact it mixed with the blood. It wasn't long before he had it on and was quickly but efficiently checking the status of the pup. Heartbeat was strong and the pup didn't seem to be harmed. "Pup is not harmed, careful with the med cocktail," he advised, pushing the machine away. "Surgery tools please!" Second later they were by his side and he started to attempt to repair what had been damaged.
Nyx started to follow Kai and carter inside but froze and shook his head at himself, terrified that he was gonna lose Kai. He took a breath and ducked inside after a moment, quickly heading into the bathroom and washing the blood off of his hands. He scrubbed st them before stopping and just gripping the edge of the sink softly. “Please Luna. You’ve gotta be okay Luna..” he pleaded softly, looking down. He took a shaky breath and forced himself to pull it together. “Come on Alpha. You’ve gotta go deal with that beta. Kai’s in good hands. He’ll be okay.” He assured himself to calm down as he let his features harden and go back to his leader self. He quietly came out of the bathroom.
"Someone make sure that the Alpha does not leave this building. I want him here no matter what happens," he said as he began to compress the stomach and fill it holes with a military grade cotton to soak up the blood. Carter repeated the process several more times before he finally began to work on closing the wound up. As he started to stitch the first hole, the monitor flatlined. "Code! Code Blue! I need an AED NOW!" he shouted, waiting impatiently for only the few seconds it took for multiple more nurses and assistants to appear with the AED. Quickly, he prepped it, called it, and administered a shock. One shock. Two shocks. Three shocks and his heart was beating. "Standby," he said, returning to the sutures. If he could get the sutures done and Kai stabilized, he and the pup would make it. Carter cursed as he missed a line but bounced back, fixing it in seconds. It only took minutes to finish the sutures but it felt like a hellish eternity to everyone in the room. "Clean the area then move him and his effects to the closet room we have. Take the AED just in case," Carter said, closing his eyes and praying that he had done it.

Nyx went to the small waiting room and sat at a chair in the corner. He absently messed with Kyle and Kai’s Keys, just needing something to fidget with as he waited. He repeated a silent prayer in his head over and over again, not knowing if anyone was even listening. ‘Please let them both be okay. Let Kai be okay. Please. Please...’ he kept repeating it, shutting his eyes and taking slow deep breaths. He listened around him for anything that sounded like either good news or bad news. He heard carter yell for an AED and his heart sunk, knowing that meant Kai had coded. He kept repeating the silent prayer, his hands shaking.
(That’s understandable. But you are doing an amazing job of writing really good gut wrenching posts emotion wise.)
The nurses rushed to comply, working together swiftly and smoothly to do what they were told. Carter sat down in a car and he dropped his head. Kai was alive for know, as was the pup. Now to make sure they stabilized and recovered well. Carter stood with a heavy and exhausted sigh, making his way to the deep sink. Mindlessly, he began to scrub away the blood from his hands after removing his bloodied uniform. He hadn't had the time to put on any of the proper gear. After making sure he was properly clean, he made his way to the waiting room, passing by the nurses as they wheeled Kai on a clean hospital bed to a residence room. "Alpha," Carter said softly. "Both he and the pup are okay at the moment. However, I cannot guarantee anything until he stabilizes," he informed him, crouching so he was eye-level with him.

Nyx opened his eyes when he heard carter speak softly. He blinked s few times and nodded slightly. “I’ll go deal with the bastard that did this in a bit... but for now, can I just go see him?” He asked softly, biting his lip. “I just. I need to be with him till he’s stable or wakes up or something. I need to be with him.” Nyx shifted and got up, crouching and picking up his phone that had clattered off his lap and onto the floor. “Please tell me where he’s at?” He asked. Nyx was just trying to keep it together and act as he should, like an alpha, not a person scared of losing their Luna. He couldn’t afford to appear weak in front of most anyone.
Carter nodded and stood with him. "Not for long, Alpha," he stated, gesturing for the obviously frantic man to follow him. He led him to the room Kai was now in. Kai was still hooked up to multiple machines. The oxygen mask and IVs were still, the heart monitor also attached. Kai had been put into a hospital gown but the bandages wrapped around his stomach were obvious. Another machine was attached to him now, one that was tracking the heartbeat of the pup. Unknowingly to everyone, it was tracking two at once. Carter moved to the side and watched Nyx carefully. He was not exactly emotionally stable and he was ready to intervene in the instance that anything happened. While he didn't expect to need to, Carter would protect Kai from Nyx by force should it be necessary.
Nyx followed him, stuffing the keys and his phone in his pockets. He was silent, coming into the room and looking over Kai. His breath hitched slightly at the sight of all the machines and how kai looked. He quietly walked over to him. He leaned over and lightly kissed Kai’s temple. “I’m here Luna. I’m not going anywhere Kai.” He promised gently, pulling a chair over and sitting down by the bed, as out of the way as possible. Nyx gently put his hand over Kai’s, looking at the various monitors. He noticed the one monitoring the pup’s heart rate and watched it for a moment. “I’m gonna kill that bastard.” He Mumbled faintly. “Just for laying a hand on you Kai..” he said, the malice evident in his voice but after a moment, he relaxed again. He focused on Kai and just being near him.
As Carter watched Nyx, he began to wonder how the hell they were going to explain this. "Nyx, you know how this going to have to work, right? You will need to very publically and sternly deny him. We need to make that Beta look like a liar and a murderer," Carter said sternly although he knew that that was not what the young Alpha wanted to hear. "You cannot claim him or the pup," he added softly, moving a bit closer to him. If Kai was a Beta himself, they wouldn't have to do it like that. While not perfect, a Beta was better than an Omega. Carter and Nyx would have to work hard and fast to get the man punished and ultimately silenced.
“I’ll kill the man myself. I’ve got the power and the right to.” Nyx Mumbled. “I know how I should be going about this but screw that. Kai is my Luna. I shouldn’t have denied him and I’ve been seeing him still even since then... I will figure this out.. I can’t deny him like that again, it’ll break his heart. I can easily handle the beta and get him sentenced and silenced properly.” He rambled. He kept rubbing kai’s hand, just being with him helping him to calm down.
Carter shook his head. ”Favor his safety over his feelings, dammit. If you admit that Kai is your mate and you bred him, that will make things even harder. And don’t think about just killing him. Kai needs you but thinks of it from the pack's point of view. He isn't dead which means they won’t order an execution by default. Kai is alive and if they find out that this pup is yours, it will make it more difficult because of the rank bias. Just explain to Kai why you need to do it. Jf he understands and knows, it won’t be that bad. This is the best way to protect him, which I know is what you want. Please listen to me,” Carter begged, placing a hand on Nyx’s shoulder. ”If you tell them, who is to say that more won’t come after him? We don’t need a repeat of this. What if you aren’t nearby that time? What if no one wants to help the Omega? There would be no one to stop them and you know they wouldn't care,” Carter reminded softly. At this point, he was trying to more or less scare him into thinking correctly.
Nyx was quiet for a long moment before nodding. “Okay.. I can do this. I need to go start doing this. I need paper and a pen so I can leave a note for when he wakes up and then I’m gonna go start fixing this.” He said softly, shifting in his chair. “I’m not gonna stop seeing him though. I’m in love with him. And our pup. I’ll change his rank or do whatever I need to later on to fix that.” He told Carter. “But I’ll do what I need to right now to protect him so he can make it without being afraid.” He said, shrugging.
Carter sighed in relief when Nyx finally agreed. ”Okay, good. I’ll be right back with some,” he trailed off as Nyx spoke. A gentle smile slid onto his face. ”He needs that. Not that I would ever stop you from seeing him,” Carter stated softly and left the room for a moment. He had a clipboard with blank paper attached and he took a pen from his pocket. Carter handed the items to him wordlessly, moving away from him so he could have what privacy Carter could afford.
Nyx took the paper and pen. “Thanks.” He Mumbled. He quickly started writing, trying to keep his note short but get out everything that he needed to say. He wrote for about 5 minutes, filling just the front of one sheet. He took it off the stack and folded it up before writing Kai’s name on the front in what was clearly his handwriting. He tucked the note on the table by the bed before getting up.Nyx kissed Kai’s temple gently. “I love you. Okay Kai? You’ve gotta make it through this. I’ll be back when I can..” he whispered softly to him before moving away. “If anything changes with him, you call me. Okay?” He told carter.
Carter crossed his arms and nodded, looking him in the eye. If this went even close to right, they could win and keep Kai from being subject to any extra danger. ”Of course, Alpha. When they need a witness, let me know and I will happily testify for you,” Carter replied, giving him a half smile.
