Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 3 comments Hello everyone I am new to this genre and I am almost finished with C.L. Stone's Ghost Bird series and I am LOVING IT!!! So even though I am a little late to the party I am now hooked. Now I want to read everyone I can get my hands on but I don't know where to start. So I would like to make a list for new people like me so we have ideas all in one place and then decide what to read next. So if you know of any RH books please list them here and I will keep a running list with any info I have about it so people can just pick and choose. If you know things about the books like if it is a series, finished, on going, genre or anything pertinent include what you can and I will update the list as needed.

YA Series or Standalone
Ghost Bird series C.L. Stone - 11 bks, on going
The Scarab Beetle series C.L. Stone - NA? - 5 books, on going
The Veil Diaries, by BL Brunnemer - very slow burn, on going
, 4 books I think

PNR/Fantasy Series or Standalone
Merry Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton -
Queen of Merab series by Violet Summers - hints of MM, completed
Godhunter series by Amy Sumida - ?
The Curse of the Gods by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington - 3 books (I think), funny, slow-burn
Kit Davenport by Tate James - on going, slow burnish
Academy of Assassins by Stacey Brutger - 1 book so far
Seaside Wolf Pack, by CC Masters - 2 or 3 books, shifters
Venomous (Alien Warrior #1) by Penelope Fletcher

Contemporary Series or Standalone

Marguerite (M) Hi, and welcome to the genre.

First of all, don't hesitate to check out the lists we fellow RH fanatics made like this one. It will definitely help you find something to read.

Then I can give you a few of my favorites:
The Curse of the Gods, by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington (fantasy)
Kit Davenport, by Tate James (i wanna say fantasy but it might be pnr)
Academy of Assassins, by Stacey Brutger (fantasy and only one book published yet but totally awesome)
Seaside Wolf Pack, by CC Masters (pnr?)
The Veil Diaries, by BL Brunnemer (fantasy?)

And as you can see on the list, there are quite a few series or standalones.

I hope it helped a bit!

Roberta Just started Ghost Bird :)

Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 3 comments Ghost Bird is my favorite but it is supper slow-burn. But I just want to wrap North and Victor up and keep them for myself. Enjoy :)

OMG, yes! Amy Lane! I read her years ago. She was like the anti-Anita Blake. RH but with a very loving and non-territorial female. I thought she gave up on the series and started writing exclusively slash, but a quick check on Amazon shows me that after a 7 year hiatus to the series she just release book 5 in 2017.

Tori | 3 comments Please help!

I am in love with The Veil Diaries series by BL Brunnemer. When I love a book series enough and know I will be re-reading them I buy them in paperback. One problem... I cannot find the first book in this in paperback!!! It's driving me insane, does anyone know when it will be reprinted or where I can buy it?

message 12: by Livvy (new)

Livvy Nicklaus (livvynicklaus) | 2 comments Have you tried the author's website? Sometimes you can buy signed copies from them. I know Tate James and Jane Washington (two of my all time fav RH authors) do this.

message 13: by Tori (new)

Tori | 3 comments I've tried asking her for the past few months but I haven't recieved an answer. I know authors get a lot of email and are busy. I guess I'll try again.

Lucie Ande | 7 comments Outcast (Wiltshire University Book 1)

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Winning her class's full ride scholarship to Wiltshire University was supposed to be a game changer for Cali. After all, Wiltshire is the college to get into; made even more so by being the only college that no one has been able to buy, er donate, their way into. A degree from Wiltshire guarantees the recipient open doors to virtually anything, so Cali was beyond stoked when her admission letter arrived; you know, after a call to the registrar to make sure she wasn't part of a Punked reboot, and even if attending Wiltshire meant leaving behind her two best friends, Sawyer and Zane, whom she had all but been attached to at the hip since pre-pre-K.

That was before Cali's only friends were the ladies who swiped her ID card in the dining hall, if you could call conversations that consisted of "Next." "Hi! Me. Sorry, I had my ID just a second ago. Really hot out there today huh? Ok, well, thanks. Have a nice day!" friendships. Before Cali was lying to and avoiding her oldest friends. Before Cali some how managed to get herself evicted from her dorm. Before someone started leaving her taunting voicemails on her ancient land line and creepy 80's doll trading cards stashed around her room. Before she ran into Tanner in the isolated underground tunnel of Wiltshire's historic bell tower during a messed up scavenger hunt on a night that would change everything.

Outcast is the first book in the new Wiltshire University series; a New Adult/Young Adult slow burn reverse harem.

PermitThePog | 1 comments definite must read: Lamented Pasts
the author is hesitant to continue the series because it doesn't get that much attention, and I am starving for the next book, so if you're looking for a unique rh book, here it is!

message 22: by SaberStar (new)

SaberStar | 1 comments Does anyone know about any historical romance reverse harem books? I’ve been searching but Ik the whole RH in a historical setting would be tricky to write, even so hoping for some hidden gems :)

message 23: by Annette (new)

Annette (annannette) | 1 comments The closest one I can come up with right now is "Rising Sun" by Lyla Oweds. It's however fantasy/paranormal Historical. So not entirely historical. There is probably more out there, I'd be surprised if there wasn't, but maybe this is at least something?

Oh hey! My book Hunter's Moon is a paranormal historical fantasy. The third one in the series is coming out this month, so I'm super hyped to share! (I hope that's allowed; it looks like it's allowed.)

message 25: by Laura (new)

Laura (trvlgirl19) | 6 comments @SaberStar-have you read the Witch of the Wild West series by Kristen Handy? It's somewhat of a mix between historical and PNR.

Heather | 1 comments Rage by K.A Knight

message 28: by Mrslabman (new)

Mrslabman | 5 comments K.A. Knight has several RH besides her Rage (Book 1) & Hate (Book 2) in Her Monsters ongoing series...which are Beyond Awesome!! <3 !! They’re a contemporary PNR & Fantasy cross. I chomping at the bit for Book 3!!!

Knight also has a future after-apocalypse series called Their Champion which is pretty great as well as a sort of spin-off series which was called the Companion to Their Champion Books.

For standalone, Knight has Den of Vipers, which was Hot!!

She has lots of other books and series, some RH that I have not read, and some not RH like The Fallen Gods series (I am in Book 6 at the moment).

Laura (trvlgirl19) | 6 comments I struggle to find new books or series that are RH lately that aren’t quite so dark or bully. I don’t mind bully-lite like Hannaford Prep or Featherstone Academy, but not into dub con or extreme bullying. I also want some plot with my romance, slow or medium burn are good-fast burn depends on the author, as some come off like porn. Any recommendations are welcome. I’ve read most reviews f the well known series-like Curse of the Gods, Four Psychos, Last Sentinel, Redemption Saga, Kit Davenport, Cupidity, Havoc, etc.

Hi, Laura. Have you read looked at the Steel Demons MC RH series? It’s post-apocalyptic, so there’s some violence like most of those future dystopian novels; however, I love those guys because they don’t allow anyone to mess with their woman. This series is sort of slow-burn as she develops individual relationships with each of her guys.

Betteroffwithbooks | 2 comments You should check out Ivy Fox’s books. I love her privileged of pembroke high series.
