Gary Sundell | 794 comments Just finished my second book. I enjoyed it and gave it 5 stars, book 1 got 4.

Barbara Sousa | 504 comments Good job to all who finished already! I actually finished my third book for this month: Vanishing Vacationers (Cruise Ship Christian Cozy Mysteries #5) by Hope Callaghan The cruise ship books are relatively short and easy to read!

Jess (mividadulce) | 145 comments Congratulations to all of you who finished already!

I'm still going with my 1st book and don't think I can read two this month but will see how far I can go.

Btw, I'm loving the one that I'm reading at the moment, A Trick of the Light. I highly recommend this series to those who haven't tried yet, and recommend to read in order!

Don't sweat it. I still am working my way back to book 2 from November. As soon as I finish my current non mystery read I will be back hanging out at Mack's Bar to finish the second in that series.

Thanks Gary for the encouragement! Good spirit and persistence you have. Since I love this series so much, no matter what I'll be keep reading the next book :)

I love that series, too. I'm going to start A Rule Against Murder after I finish my current audiobook. Ralph Cosham does a really good job with the narration.

Helen (helennn) | 1030 comments Finally finished my first, which I didn't start till last week, due to other things I'm reading.
The Alpine Escape (Emma Lord, #5) by Mary Daheim
I love this series and have started the next.

The new guy (later in the series) is good too.

Jess (mividadulce) | 145 comments I finished one book this month, A Trick of the Light. I loved reading it, very interesting. Great humor (worked well for me, I did laugh a number of time out loud) but at the same time a lot of other emotions and seeds to think further for the readers.

A Trick of the Light (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #7) by Louise Penny

Barbara, hope you are enjoying the book. I've never tried audio book but might try one day if it's with great voice :)

Susan | 172 comments Finished both books. The second one was quite funny. No Nest for the Wicket (Meg Langslow, #7) by Donna Andrews The Penguin Who Knew Too Much (Meg Langslow, #8) by Donna Andrews

I just started A Rule Against Murder. Gamache and Reine-Marie are on holiday, and I'm really enjoying the difference in locale. The Inspector Gamache books are a great change of pace from the cozies I have just finished; they make you think on a deeper level while still being entertaining!

message 116: by Anna Catharina (new)

Anna Catharina I finished my two March books: Words With Fiends (Black Cat Bookshop Mystery, #3) by Ali Brandon Words With Fiends and Literally Murder (Black Cat Bookshop Mystery #4) by Ali Brandon Literally Murder (book #3 and #4 of the Black Cat Bookshop Mysteries by Ali Brandon).

They were okay, but not really good. I don't care for the MC, only Hamlet the black cat is great and probably the only reason I read both books. The mysteries were also not convincing. I guess after two books in one month I need a break.

Thank you for the recommendation of the Inspector Gamache series. I'm "reading" a lot of audiobooks on long road trips at present, and found the first of the series on Audible.
Meanwhile, I've finally finished my second March challenge book, The Alpine Fury (Emma Lord, #6) by Mary Daheim . I love this series and have several more waiting.
